Certainly a good average boost for Chigumbura. It's also promising to see Tichana (one of the 2006 Mashonaland squad members) get runs on the board. Likewise, I'm glad Freedom Takarusenga has been selected for Westerns. Why he was selected for the second eleven defied logic.

It would have been nice to see Nglube get another hundred mind but he was out early in the morning!!. The way i see it the more zimbabwe domestic players get used to playing long innings and converting 50's into the hundreds the better it will be for the overall pool of talent

Sharethe southerns vs easterns scorecard is up its worth noting the bowling performance of Shingirai Masakadza he is new on the scene and has picked up 10 wickets in the 2 games hes played which is good to see, im sure if he continues this sort of form he might just get a look in the zimbabwe A side or maybe even a national call up.

It seems to me that the Northerns bowling attack is, if anything, a little too strong. They have guys like Trevor Garwe and Admire Manyumwa, who have been regulars all season in the A-squad, and should therefore probably get the chance to take the new ball and bowl a lot of overs in a bit to strengthen their own international claims. However, because Northerns already have Chigumbura, Brent, Price & Cremer, these lads bowled less than 20 overs between them in thew whole of the last game.
I know that the regional sides are now a lot more geographically representative than they have been in the past, but surely Centrals or Southerns (or maybe even Easterns) would benefit from having another seam bowler...

Agreed!!. I think the northerns line up is top heavy with quality bowlers and also excellent emerging one's too. Perhaps they could loan one out. It would be beneficial for the other sides and also the players loaned out themselves as they would get more overs under their belts

Sharethe senior players doing the job for northerns Price and Brent are having an outstanding tournment the opposition in the tournment jus dont match up2 the class of these 2 senior players. They are doing it with the bat aswell price 89 and brent 51 in a ninth wicket stand of 133 against southerns.
The 2 shining lights of the up and coming players in the tournment so far for me is the brother of hamilton masakadza shingarai who has done brilliantly with the ball as has the offspinner mugochi who is getting alot of wickets.
