Nepal might be the defining moment for Marumani. Will be watching him closely. Something tells me that might be the moment he arrives. His kind of game thrives on poor bowling as well as confidence. I feel like if he really sets his mind to it and believes, he could do some serious damage. If he struggles out there he might never recover mentally.

No way. He's not just a blind slogger at all. He has the physique to power hit very well (not just fat like Cephas) but actually quite a bit of technique too. He's no Shumba or Myers, granted, but still. He was a gun school cricketer. And he's dominated club league attacks this season. At franchise level he banged out a gritty first class century as well a couple of months back. He's still only 20 - give him time.
International cricket came way too soon for him that's all. Probably still too soon for him now as well tbf. We need to give him more time, he has the potential to be much better than Cephas tbh.

It is absolutely unfair to compare Marumani with Zhuwao, he is barely 20 years old and has got way more shots in his repertoire than Cephas who can only slog on long-on, deep mid-wicket and long-off. Cephas can play few shots and that is it, Marumani has got has easily got another 3 to 4 years to sort out and improve his batting and I hope he does achieve that coz clearly there is some clear promise this lad has already shown.
