Finally, a proper match thread!

Newman's looking really sharp. I must confess, I had written him off prematurely. There is a lot to work with there.

Newman is still a teenager why would you write him off this early in his career? Would you hold the same view if he had different physical attributes, like, I don't know, lighter skin and straight hair?

I'm not bothered by people's skin colour mate. All I care about is winning.

Newman clearly worked on his game and made some tweaks that helped elevate his game to the next level. He will only get better with time.

I like Bennett at 4. I called it a while back.

Taylor at 3 is probably the weakest link. I think the game has left him. I hope proves me wrong. With Nick Welch in the doghouse, Matthew Campbell is the obvious replacement.

Reminds me of Grant Flower's brief return to international cricket in 2010. He hardly middled anything and struggled to score. Good thing he realised he was holding the team back and stepped away.

It seems Taylor wants to stick around for next year's world cup.
