No, Pathirana`s body will not be able to handle the pressure. His action is more extreme than even Malinga. Maheesh is like Ajantha mendis. Was alright in the first couple series but then declined rapidly. Chameera is on the wrong side of 30. I doubt the SL management will risk playing him in test due to his loi prowess and the variety of other options such as Asitha, Kumara and Rajitha available for the longest format

We needed a flat pitch as that was our best shot of getting a win. We got pretty much the perfect wicket but our bowling was consistent enough and Sri Lanka batted well to save the Test.
I wouldn't mind seeing a seaming wicket in Dhaka, although Asitha and Rajitha bowled really well in the 1st game. I hope it's not a raging turner, which is likely because SL will have a clear advantage on a dustbowl.
BTW we're is Jayawickrama? He's twice as good as Emboldeniya...

Embuldeniya is normally better with his line and length but yeah as shown by this match still inconsistent. I think Ramesh needs to be dropped for Jayawickrama. But yeah interesting series so far.

Kamindu is a batter who can bwol a little. Gets overhyped for his bowling. DOne ok with the bat so far.

Great fightback. But I feel as flat as this pitch is, 400 is a minimum requirement batting 1st. That terrible start may still haunt us. Still Mosaddek is up to bat next, and I really hope he makes it count.

Mushi is very close to be declared as one of the best wicket keeper batsman of Asian subcontinent after the great Kumar Sanghakara as per test cricket is concerned. Many of his top knocks single handedly has come out when the team was in trouble, and its certain he is now top wicket keeper batsman in Asia.

Ramesh Mendis can do well against SENA countries but he does'nt have the talent to trouble asian batters. Sri Lanka have to think of Maheesh Theekshana or Hasaranga in future in test matches

If Bangladesh wants to win this Test and the series they will have to take at least 5 wickets tomorrow and look to wrap the tail up as early as possible on Day 4. That will mean SL will have a marginal lead, and Bangladesh would have to bat well for about 3 sessions to give them 75-80 overs on Day 5 to force a result.
But bravo to Mushfiq and Liton. Ebadat and the bowlers will need to be disciplined tomorrow.

I think Mendis wasn't a leggie. He was a spinner with lots of variation and had a guranteed wicket taking option of carrom ball around 2008-09, but later his magic become predictable. Ramesh needs to develop variations to get success in test cricket. He is more like Dilruwan Perera, but Perera had variations beside off spin, that worked in test cricket and he became automatic choice

When I said leggies do not work, I meant in regards to Hasarnaga. HE isn't consistent enough. You can see by his prior tests and his first class averages. Theeekshana is like Ajantha but not as good. He does not turn it much and darts it in. Not ideal for test cricket. Ramesh mendis was a bits and pieces bowler who is fixing his action now.
