Wellington masakadza has been very average in this tournament
Wellington has always been very average. I don't know where people got the idea that he's the next Daniel Vettori. Him and Ngarava and Jongwe (today's heroics notwithstnading) are three cricketers that really won't cut the mustard.
Not sure why you are picking on these guys.
Ngarava is no different from Blessing. Blessing is fashionable because he's tall and has played overseas. But actually Ngarava bowls pretty much the same quality plus he's faster and he's a left-armer. A very very important part of our attack going forward. He's still only 24. Big future.
Who has ever said Masakadza is the next Vettori? 😂 He's no world beater, I don't think anybody has ever said that at all. He's the best, most consistent, spinner in the country though. We have a dearth of specialist spinners. Last couple of games especially the Singapore one it didn't look to be coming out of his hand properly unfortunately. He's had a bad injury he's just recovering from, to be fair.
Jongwe continues to win us games. He's a match winner. Why you have a vendetta against someone like him I've no idea. He's a plucky character who gives 100% every time he's on the field and he usually makes something happen with the ball when we need it. Nice to see him finally showing what he can do with the bat yesterday too.
No one is saying the any of the above are world-class superstars. But they are all solid cricketers, probably a lot better than any other alternatives we have, and haven't done too much wrong.
It's difficult when you don't actually watch any Zimbabwe matches though, like you.
