Well, what do you know, Chari and Chibhabha at the top of the order...
But Marumani being a keeper is a game changer of an option! Let us see how it goes. Could be too much burden this early in his career, but hey, he could at least keep Chakabva on his toes...
Dion Myers is a huge prospect for Zimbabwe, this kid in my opinion could become a proper all-rounder who could win matches on his own for Zimbabwe in the future, he has already shown what he can do with the bat in hand. He can also bowl useful overs.
As regards Marumani, I am extremely impressed by his body language and everything seems positive about the way this kid bats, aggressiveness, fearlessness and positive intent. He could become very crucial for Zimbabwe at the top in next few years.
With youngsters like Madhevere, Muzarabani, Myers, Marumani, Shumba and some other kids on the fringe the future of Zimbabwe cricket is very bright when you look at it from one angle but we all know what this incompetent and corrupted board can do to just literally kill the game.

I had a faint memory of Marumani keeping for the U19s somewhere, but I couldn't find the scorecards when I searched for it a month or two ago. Might have been in some warm-up match or a series before the WC.
It appears to me by watching Chatara that he has gained some of his pace back, he is bowling with some steam i reckon, hopefully he will become fitter when they take on Bangladesh in the three important ODIs. An accurate Nyauchi could become very successful in the shorter format.
It's cold, middle of winter, moving around a bit, Overcast. These are the conditions we need against Bangladesh . Harare is the best location. I hope they reconsider. There are no fans allowed anyway
Marumani taking the gloves shows that at least these guys realize we need an alternative. It's definitely a lot of pressure on the kid but he is young enough to put his head down and learn. Mutumbami isn't it and BT is getting old. We need another keeper.
I wonder at what speed Chatara's pace clicks on speed gun, seems like he is really cranking his pace up by a notch in this A series South Africa.
Early 130's from what I've seen. I don't think he's gunning it down as fast as people think. His control is much better though and you can visually see his pace has increased from the domestic competition

If Chatara can bowl around mid 130s, with his accuracy and ability to swing the ball, Zimbabwe have a fine duo of pacers in Muzarabani and Chatara to bowl in tandem.
