It's good Evey match in Harare is boring and doesn't do our players good in the long term. Plus the Harare pit h is not being curated to suit us anyway.

Queens pitch is more subcontinent like then Harare. ZC should bring back life in Harare pitch which it was in 90s, providing assistance for the pacers.
News circulating that Mushfiq sought leave for T20Is in Zim. Probably Tamim Iqbal will miss the T20Is too as like NZ tour.

ODIs will be the most important from WSL point of view. A depleted T20 side from Bangladesh may provide a good opportunity for Zimbabwe to pull off a series win in the shortest format.

This link says "all matches will be played in Harare". So looks like no Test at Queens.

BCB confirms the original schedule. BD team departs in exactly 1 week and the first Test starts July 7 at Bulawayo.

Tour finally confirmed by ZC. All matches in Harare including the lone Test.

Meanwhile Mushfiqur Rahim has a hairline fracture on his left index finger. Not much time to recover before the Test series.

Bangladesh named their squad for all three formats. Mushfiq rested in T20Is. Otherwise best possible squad is announced. T20 sqaud is relatively younger.

zim win lose..squad is very powerful
Test match would be interesting. BD and Pakistan have always sent their strongest squads to Zim unlike India. We only have 5 batsmen who can score a ton at this level. There is a big hole at the top and number 7. Kasuza and Prince are ok but wont score more than 70s. It’s high time we give chances to Musakanda, Myers and Shumba. I think these 3 plus Burl can bat longer.

Im happy the test is in Harare. Our biggest problem is who will open for the test matches. That's a real headache for the selectors. Maybe this time they should force 2 senior players to open. I would try something different like Regis and Raza.

It will be a lot to ask for from Regis but he proved he can bat up the order against Pakistan and still keep. Raza has opened 5 times and he averages 42 batting at 1 and 51 batting at 2. He is the solution for me. He opened against Bangladesh too.

We could then play a team like this

Raza

Regis(wk)

Ervine

Taylor

Williams

Myers

Burl

Tiripano

Blessing

Ngarava

Nyauchi

People might say the tail is long but I believe if we play on a seamer friendly track like that first test in Afghanistan, these guys will pick up 20 wickets without conceding more than 350 runs.

S Williams

W Medhevere

R Chakaba

B Chipungu

V Nayuchi

T Chatara

B Muzarabani

I will bring Marumani in.He is in good form, not taking is currrent form will be a big loss to Zim and at present Test Cricket isnt slow, teams are maintaining @3 or 2.5 runs per over. Marumani is an impact player, can give Zimbabwe quick runs at the top which will be a good stage for experienced Zim middle order to score big. Chipungu because Bangladesh batsman often struggles against leg spin.

Kasuza & Masvaure are too slow and defensive.

But there is then a risk of the Bangladeshi seamers picking up 20 wickets for 300 runs!

True but it's better for me than a flat track. Bangladesh dominated on a flat deck last time. You will win the toss , score 500 plus and that's game over

Zimbabwe will make huge miatake if they dont offer seam friendly tracks to their bowlers.Zim can defeat Bangladesh in flat or slow tracks.

A seaming track will make for better watching thats for sure. In home conditions, I would say ZIM would have a good shot at forcing a draw on a flat track. I would probably still back Bangladesh if they had 4 sessions at the end to search for 10 wickets, but you'd have to say a full strength Zimbabwe batting unit has shown significant resolve in the recent past.

Bangladesh have named full strength squads for all 3 formats. A couple of injury concerns but the squads named are the stronges we could have come up with.

Its true. They were both rested from the Super Leagues of the DPL tournament. We are hoping the will be ready for the Test match on July 7.

Taskin Ahmed also reportedly has a niggle as well.

Seeing the squad, Zim can give competition in test if it seams, but to be honeset there is no chance for Zim in odis or T20Is
