best would be to tour Ireland or invite them in Zimbabwe for one test and five Odis.

We don't play Ireland enough .....

Guys there are only 5 series' from the WSL that are yet to be confirmed by member boards, 4 of them involve Afghanistan.

ZIM V NET

PAK V AFG

IND V AFG

AUS V AFG

SL V AFG

I'm sure Zim and Net series will find a window, both boards will be keen on playing that.

India have not mentioned anything reg AFG series in the recent revealed list of India fixtures, neither have Australia.

Pak and SL will most likely find a window to play AFG.

We have to see what the ICC do in case some of these serves don't happen, will they simply award the points to AFG?

So far it seems like it will be based on aggregate points, but in that case aren't NZ in trouble, despite having a very good record?

I think it may come down to points per match, or points %. That's what the WTC is doing and looks like the most fair system. In that case, ZIM had almost no chance of direct qualification. Ditto for South Africa and West Indies and possibly Sri Lanka as well.

Over the next 8 months all the pending series except for the above 5 and Aus-Rsa which appears to be forfeited by RSA, are confirmed mate. So NZ will play all their 24 games. NZ are literally playing all of them in a space of 1 yr. That's crazy scheduling.

Some excitement today at this rumour that we apparently have an England tour in the next FTP?

Personally I don't believe it but we'll see.

Nice to hear about the England series. There was a proposed England tour in the last FTP which never eventuated so probably shouldn’t get our hopes up but at least it’s in the FTP.
ZCF Hall of Famer
Is it us going there or them coming here?
ZCF Hall of Famer
What would also be good is a County or two coming here for their pre-season Jan-March preparations.

We have to lay it on for these guys because if that became an annual event it would be really really good for our cricket.

Plus of course they pay their own way. It has to make some sense financially for them, can't have the usual culprits trying to skin them or they'll only come once.

Zolsky mentioned about England tour so it's apparently on the card.

This man is reporting on an insider meeting. He clearly has links to TM no matter how much he denies it.

In saying that, the points made are valid. Such a long flight for only 3 ODIs in Aus. Zim should have arranged to play some local sides too. Possibly play the QLD Bulls or a representative side. Perhaps they could have asked to play Prime Ministers XI in the longer format. Was probably too much to ask to play the main Aus side considering their schedule. So whilst it would be nice to have longer tours, we need to be smarter about how we approach things.

As incompetent as ICC are, still does anyone know why they aren't releasing the FTP? It was supposed to have been finalized in that ICC meeting and they themselves announced that it will be released later in the week (which was last week)

My guess is some of the big sides are complaining bitterly about having to play smaller teams 😂

Theyre full of s**t, if they're thst confident they can rest some guys and play a second string side. The fact is the Big 3 could put out 3 competitive sides ea

Any news on the Pakistan A tour?

Asia Cup is not cancelled. It is likely to happen in Sri Lanka and Pakistan are most likely to pull out.

There are rumors that Pak are planning to arrange for a Tri Series during that time instead and Zimbabwe are one of the teams they are hoping to have.

Not really sure where to put this, but I mentioned on a previous post about the hideously corrupt Prince Edward headmaster. Well the parents finally objected, a year late, mind you, and were promptly arrested. Only in Zimbabwe.

It's a government school, the parents usually contribute f**k all, the government pays pittance for everything, the headmaster steals it and then uses another government department to protect himself from stealing from the government. The rest of you deal with transgender issues and we have this to contend with on a daily basis.

What are the upcoming tours for Zim?

Hopefully ZC ride this new momentum and buzz into some more matches.

Next is a tour of Pakistan in late April (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is)

Host Bangladesh in July (2 Tests, 5 ODIs) and Australia in September (3 ODIs)

Away to Afghanistan in December (2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is)

Women playing in some ODI championship for the first time. ODI and t20 tour of New Zealand starting this week

India likely to tour this year for some T20s apparantly.
We have around 19 months before the World Cup begins, need more longer format games/series. I guess it's still better than nothing even if they are coming for T20I series.
