best would be to tour Ireland or invite them in Zimbabwe for one test and five Odis.

We don't play Ireland enough .....

With Afghanistan's tour of Australia for 1 Test in November in doubt, could Zimbabwe fill the void?

Afghanistan were also supposed to tour Zimbabwe in December for 1 Test and 3ODI Super League games. That's probably in doubt too

Australia will be cheering they don’t have to host that test which would have cost them thousands if not more.

I doubt they’ll be rushing to invite Zimbabwe, Bangladesh or Ireland to fill the void.

Maybe they’ll invite India over for 3 t20i instead

Thats the harsh truth. It will also turn out to be an excuse if the ICC does not end up banning Afghanistan (entirely possible) from all cricket.

Zimbabwe should target clean sweep in Ireland & Netherlands in Super League and earn as many points they can to avoid qualifiers

6 wins, 60 points and will be at n.o 3 or 4 in the chart

a mouthwatering opportunity if tour goes as per expectation

Ideally yes, but that is a long shot. I don't see Zimbabwe winning 3-0, but 2-1 in both series is possible if they play really good cricket. Add to that if they can beat Afghanistan 2-1 that'll be the best scenario. I think Zimbabwe also got 3 games against Sri Lanka, and Lanka have been doing really bad.

Do you think they will go as far as banning them? I am sure sure they also remember voting in 2017 to give them an exemption to still be recognized as a Full member without having a women team.

I think Australia is playing Dirty politics same way England has played dirty towards Zimbabwe.

I hope they find a lasting solution to this scenario i was starting to like the Afghanistan team.

Does anyone know when the next series is after the Scotland T20s?

Zimbabwe have had a lot of cricket this year compared to what they usually have

Next scheduled is Afghanistan for 1 Test, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is at home in December. The Test match very very unlikely to happen though - even before the Taliban turned up.

Also a couple of ‘A’ tours - both home and away - against Pakistan planned either side of the new year.

I haven't heard anything recently. ZC were asking around for interested clubs to expand the league a few months ago. Hopefully we hear soon, as I think it was played in October last year.
NPL SHOULD BE T20 FORMAT. ATLEAST 2 MONTHS FOR PLAYERS TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENT

Thanks mate,

Been away for a while but that first ODI really rekindle my interest in the team, I’m sure they’ll disappoint me again soon though 😂

I know this is probably very far fetched but if Afghanistan were to get banned does that automatically give us a spot in the T20 World cup?. I have been keeping a keen intrest, but it looks like Australia are taking this women's team issue very serious and there is even talk to Refuse playing them in the world cup coming from the Australian camp and captain Tim Paine.

There are a few extracts from that Article on cricinfo, were they talking about discussing this with other Full member states.

I don't think they will be banned from the T20 WC, and in the unlikeliest event of getting banned the position will go to an Asian team, not Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe better focus on next years T20 WC and I have to say it will be good if they keep Big 4 in their plans for that tournament.

So 6 Super League matches in December? Very important month. The weather is my only concern.

Bangladesh Women to tour Zimbabwe in November

Zimbabwe’s preparations for the ICC Women’s World Cup Global Qualifier got a shot in the arm with the confirmation that Bangladesh Women will tour the country ahead of the tournament.

With Ireland expected in a few weeks, this will give Zimbabwe Women much needed game time as they prepare for the tournament which they are hosting.

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will play a three-match ODI series before getting into a bubble for the qualifier

Any update on Afghanistan series? I find recently Afghans have started avoiding Zimbabwe, they think of themselves as a big team and then when they get bashed up by the biggies brutally they come to Zimbabwe for fixtures.

I have no sympathy for Netherlands also, they keep avoiding Zimbabwe always, I don't know why.

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have been most supportive of Zim, even Ireland.

Bro, cricket is no more a game of sympathy. Build a superior team, defeat top opposition, make your rate high that has been the order of cricket.

Zimbabwe has to increase their rate by winning games against top teams whenever they gets a chance

Yes I do agree on this. If Zimbabwe perform well then they will surely get more fixtures. I hope they do.

Zimbabwe still have WSL fixtures against India, Australia, Netherlands, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka which are remaining and we have no clue when they will be played. Except may be Afghans in December.
