I dont think so I think Ham, Stuart and even Taylor can have a toss. We need another batsmen to take our score to the 180ish in each game instead of trying to defend low totals with our bowlers.

I feel for Chigs the same way peeps want Coventary in the team. Purely sentimental at the whole talent potential story bit both are out of Form. I would throw in wild card Chibhabha there!

I would also add whether we should chase or we should bat first if we win the toss. I say we chase. Setting the pace is too much pressure in my view. And If peeps like Levi bat first they would also have the same problem. But when the score is set everyone knows what they have to do.

i think if the team wanted another spinner they would be better off picking Waller. That way the team will have an extra batter.

I would pick this team too. Price has the experience to guide this team in pressure situations, many times our team has capitulated or gave up defending a low total and I think Price's willingness to fight fight all the way will be needed. Mpofu is now the wise hand, Jarvis is settling in nicely and I like Cremer and Chigs in there. Chigs once won a county contract, there is still something in there, he needs to drag it out. I like Cremer given that it'll be SL, he is a future world star and can bat but he is not cemented in there yet for me; Vitori, Muzhange or Masakadza Jnr can still get his place if they find something on those pitches or if Chigs doesn't fire bowling wise. I have faith in Waller, he is a class act (Ervine has a lot to do to steer him out of the way). I have to persist with Coventry, if two of either Vusi, Hammi or Taylor get out cheaply (very conceivable) we need a guy to smack the ball and get the run rate to a respectable level before Waller & Co consolidate. The top 4 picks itself.

What i dont understand is

why everone keeps singing this Coventry song when the guy has been clearly out of form even on the domestic scene. Lets leave Muzhange in and Cremer looks like he derserves a spot judging from his last perfomamce in the tri series aganist SA AND BD, may be we could play around with Waller and chigs.Our batting tends to faulter alot underpressure so lets leave Mastikenyeri in. So a good team would be Vusi sibanda,HAMILTON MASAKADZA,TAYLOR, MASTI,Taibu,Chigumbura ,Waller/Jarvis,Creamer,chris mpofu,Richard muzhange

So was Vusi when I remember only me and sloan sang his praises around these parts. Sometimes if there's enough talent in there (enough to improve the current lineup if realised), we have to stick our necks out and risk it. Vusi was worth it and so is Coventry in the short formats.

Vusi Debuted before the Rebel era then he was axed and worked his way back in again, then he lost form and was axed then he hit the First class with 1000 runs in a season and captained the A team as well and he was an automatic pic. Coventary as much as I like to see him in the team, HAS to dominate our weak bowlers in the domestic else we are not even doing him any favours by chucking him in the deepend AGAIN!

it would seem th ship has sailed for Coventry. unless if he does a Vusi ( i.e perform in the domestic game).
