Why does every thread have to become a political discussion

Might as well just make one big thread where you can just talk about anything and everything

Ryan Burl's first 1st class game since May 2018 when he played for the Zimbabwe Rising stars

Considering most people will agree he is one of the most talented young batsman in the country, this is a massive issue that he hasn't played a first class game in so long. Also makes it understandable why he hasn't played a Test match match recently either

Yeah, that's a good point.

Also, it looks like Kevin Kasuza is in a sweet spot in his career and has no internationals to make use of that form. Sad.

Well cricket and politics are inextricably linked in Zim and SA. England is front and centre as far as that goes.

The state of the game in both countries is tied to their economies and the ruthless, politically and racially motivated boards that control the game.

Maybe other guys here are interested in the major spat unfolding between CSA and ECB following England's premature departure from SA (very interesting article!) , or Zim's likely policy change towards the few (if any) players with dual passports following Schardendorf's recent Notts contract?

Any behind the scenes news is likely to involve politics.

It may be boring for some, but entirely relevant.

Does anybody actually know how fast Evans, Snater and Chivanga are?
Snater is about 80mph but can get up to 85 sometimes, dont know about the other two but wouldn't think they're any quicker

Evans early 130’s and snater is in and around 130, like Kallum said on a good say probably 85.

Peter Moor has missed few tours because of not fitting to racial quotas.

Unofficial but they seemingly do not like less than 5 mulignan in the team. Usually when at capacity Moor misses out for Burl etc
Bit concerning how the rhinos went from 121 for 1 to 248 for 8d, also how bad must the bowling have been for PJ Moor to score nigh on 60 off 40 in a FC match...

Clearly a low opinion of PJ..

Not really. You need to understand how Pj plays.

He will always score quick in long form cricket as his strategy is to wait for balls in his zone and to clear the attacking infield. He takes those scoring offerings against attacking bowlers. It’s his style. Rocks and diamonds. Feast or famine. I play the same.

For the same reason, he struggles to get going in the limited overs as the fields spread so he can’t just club it over the infield and hope he gets enough on it to land safely.
I understand he is an attacking player (and I genuinely rate him very highly) it's just more a case of me not understanding how even the most aggressive players can get away at scoring at that rate in the middle of a first class game without the field spreading and stopping the run rate and the bowler actually bowling to a plan
