Tari with the first 100 of the tournament yet somehow he isn’t in the training squad. No way he isn’t in our top 25

And also the return of Blessing muzarabani happened

Good to see him grab 5 wickets too. Chatara also took 5 in the same game. The national team guys should be dominating at this level.

The gladiators are going to struggle. Lots of young players with raw talent but no consistency. Just like the rangers.

Young Saxon Pettican also got a game

He's still being 'taught a lesson' by ZC

Going off how long Chisoro's 'lesson' went for I think it's doubtful Tari will go to Pakistan.

Let's hope he keeps this form up, if he can pile on a few more tons this home season he will force his way back into the side.

What's the go with this Saxon Pettican? You said he was 16? What's his story?

The batting leaves a lot to be desired, obviously, but looking at the Mutare Sports Club/Manica aka Easterns vs. Takashinga scorecard the bowling line-ups were up there with Zim's FC standard: Chatara (5 w), Tiripano, Blessing (5 w), Ngarava, Wellington, Musoko, Kaia; we've had a number of Logan Cup matches with weaker bowling.

A tight win for Easterns, with Chatara ripping out the Takashinga middle order -- and although the recycled name does not warm my heart, their logo looks pretty. Does anyone know the name of the flower?

Are they preparing bowler friendly fields? The batting is all over the shop.

The odd thing about him is none of the older white guys know about him. That's rare. He can't be a Harare boy
He’s at school in Bulawayo

Easy 8-wicket win for Easterns against Kings in the absence of their national team attack; Diplock was expensive for the Kings, Evans economical despite a flurry of wides, but without impact in the wickets column.

I watched the Easterns v Kings game. Takeaways:

The Kings batsmen tossed it off in a big way. Almost all of them just threw their wickets away, despite an average looking attack. The Tinashe boy who took 4 wickets looked the only real good bowler.

On the bowling, Evans looks quite sharp and looks tough to get away. He seems to have a lot of confidence in himself and I’ll watch for him.

Diplock looked quite troubling for batsmen, and had Kasuza on zero, but didn’t walk and proceeded to have a very unlucky day with boundaries flying off numerous edges.

Munyoro was injured before he bowled a ball in the outfield.

Kevin Kasuza ended up winning Easterns the game with some solid batting apart from his little show of poor sportsmanship at the beginning, which the Kings didn’t appreciate. There was a big crowd in and was a good vibe all round.

I'm curious about this. When we were being coached we were always told to be fair and honest in the game. Our coaches were always like, "us Zimbabweans may not be the best side, but we will always work hard and play fair"

I'm interested what the others thoughts are on this. Is perhaps what happened to us in the U19 WC a point where we thought we need to be more ruthless and less the nice guys.

Black zimbabweans dont have a good rep for honesty to be frank.
