That's if he's up for selection for the world T20 :? If he is up for selection, the man will be in my starting XI whatever happens. Fingers crossed :D

I think Masakadza is just a history maker and more history is going to come out of this young man . Now that he will have the guidance of Streaky and Grant we need to watch for more records from him . Currently he holds the record of being able to score 150+ runs twice in a single One day series . So watch out for Hamilton

A fair assumption. I'd say whatch out for young Malcolm Waller in the future. He's a fine prospect, though he needs to capitalize on his starts and turn them into big scores

Hmm not always Jamthala. He played Kemar Roach pretty well in the recent series :D

Though his pull shot does look a little unorthadox :ugeek:

Just a thought: Can we restrict this thread to only really special moments of Zim Cricket and Zim Cricket Team in terms of photos and videos? That is what it has mostly been in the thread so far...

An old collage created by a TV channel to promote India-SL-Zim tri series held at Sharjah a few years back. Just to go with the flavour of the season :)

Haha i love it !! :D I've got a great picture of Heath Streak bowling in 1996, but i cant't post it for some reason. He looks strong and really young on it as well.

Could be due to the size constraints. You can't upload something that is bigger than 250 KB.

In the 5 ODI match series in 2001-02 at home, India were trailing Zim 1-2 after 3 matches. The two losses were largely due to the heroics of the two "Douglas"es in the Zim team. Douglas Marillier scooped his way to stardom in the first match (http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64753.html), and Douglas Hondo rocked the Indian top order to ensure another victory for Zim in the third match (http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64755.html).

They were so impactful that a commentator said during the series that the Indian team was suffering from "Douglas Syndrome". :)

Here are the images of theirs, from those two matches:

This picture either shows how tall Pommie is, or how small Tatenda is. There's a huge difference in height between the two 😂

That really was a top class knock from a top class player

Some bits from the brilliant youtube archive of robelinda2:

Footage of Matsi as a twelve-year old, as he gets to meet David Boon - isn't he cute (Matsi that is)? I was interested to learn that he bowled a few leggies too at that time.

Not so sure about some of the views of his coach though.

And the original "Marillier" in Australia in 2001, when we lost by one run (and Stu Carlisle ran one short earlier)

And, from a different source, Doug gets out the "Marillier" again to take Zim to a rare ODI win in India in 2002.
