Opening post

The new FTP is due sometime in June or July, since the last 8 year FTP was finalized and publicized at that time in 2014.

This thread will be for any information pertaining to the new FTP and not the existing one.

That's the first of many A tours to be cancelled 😂

But ya they've had disastrous news. Shame, they deserve way better than that.

Sad thing is ZC are not proactive they wait for in coming A Tours yet they can fund an emerging side for a free UK holiday. Ludacris that.

Australia coming is not really new news. It's been in the FTP for quite a while https://images.icc-cricket.com/image/up ... iizi4g.pdf

Not sure why Australia doesn't want to add a Test to the tour. Would make sense prior to them going to South Africa for a big Test series.

In August 2026, Namibia will host Zimbabwe and South Africa for a Tri-Series.

Slim compared to 2025.

Zimbabwe really need plenty of ODIs before the World Cup. Maybe they could arrange some ODIs with Afghanistan? ODIs are important for both teams, rather than T20Is. Hopefully, Zimbabwe get more and more A games in their schedule as well; I’ve heard there are more A games coming up? Zimbabwe is also trying to negotiate a series against England at the new stadium? If we had more games in Zimbabwe during the ODI World Cup period, more countries would be keen on having games there before the main event. Who knows its still a win win situation if the opposition doesn't much of game time in South Africa (or even Namibia). Zimbabwean condition would be good option regardless.

The T20I World Cup is close and Zimbabwe unfortunately didn't get games in the subcontitent yet...

I think one tour every couple of months is reasonable to be honest. Far better than the 2010s when we played about 12 games a year.
ZCF Hall of Famer
They might add a few games during the year.

We should aim to for an undefeated test season.

Guys FFS post about the new fixtures here, not on that old thread.

India - Zimbabwe 3 ODIs confirmed for start of January 2027. Got the second game at my hometown, would look to see the boys in action.

Zim A tour to Bangladesh - June

West Indies A tour to Zimbabwe - July

Zim A tour to South Africa - August

Ireland A tour Zimbabwe- TBA

Good to have some busy A-side schedules listed, just needs a confirmation.

Zimbabwe Acacdemy will also be travelling to SA on April. They'll be facing Titans and Namibia A.

Series outside of Zimbabwe is more rare than having those A series itself, so that's big one.
ZCF Hall of Famer
Won't benefit much if they select all those crap players for the A tours and series'. Ill be happy if they select the squads on merit.

What's the status on Naqvi? Have they given up on him?

That would be the other way round, no?

He is the one who has to meet various criteria in order to play. For once ZC can’t be blamed for something
