Opening post

The new FTP is due sometime in June or July, since the last 8 year FTP was finalized and publicized at that time in 2014.

This thread will be for any information pertaining to the new FTP and not the existing one.

Ya I wonder what happened there. He'd done well with them and then quit at the end of his tenure.

We all thought he'd use it as a stepping stone and actually leave the country, but he's still here.

Absolutely criminal that he's not coaching for ZC in some capacity.

I guess it's possible he'll put his name in the hat as a franchise coach?

There's radio silence over the talk of foreign franchise coaches.

Wonderful news.

Now that Australia, New Zealand and England are basically refusing to play Afghanistan outside of ICC events they have suddenly realised that Zimbabwe exists.

Excellent news. Will be awesome to watch a full series between these two sides!

Is this the first 3-format series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe?

Zimbabwe A/Emerging/U25/XI/Academy/whatever they are calling it this week - are going to Rwanda to play some African teams , November 18th-29th
ZCF Hall of Famer
A 5 wicket haul from Nyamhuri against Rwanda B and he'll be straight into our national side.

We're going backwards really quickly.

More of a development side than anything. No where near being an A side. Good for ZC to be mixing it up with other African countries. Good for the game.

I'm really curious about Dave Houghton. The season has started and he's not involved in anything and I'm assuming he's still employed?

That for me is the biggest warning signal that there's no real intent to turn the ship around. The guy is a wealth of knowledge...and influence. It's a huge alarm bell.
ZCF Hall of Famer
Dion should be bringing on Blessing right now.

These are the last two good batters and he will cause them problems. Bowl him out now.

ZC still has to keep players in the bank for the Netherlands A tour. It' would be better to have a proper Zim A for this tour to see how the fringe players can perform.

He will get stacks of wickets I'm sure. Namibia could not handle him so doubtful rwanda will.

I'm not saying he's s**t, he's good.

I'm just pointing out that ZC are willing to fast track some and not others based on....

I know exactly what you mean though.

Like when prosper utseya got a five fer against Canada in a friendly with a brand new action and then was picked for the 2015 world cup squad. We hold the bar low sometimes

I hear the Netherlands A tour to Zim is ‘postponed’ - due to the Dutch having to make financial cutbacks.
