Utseya as coach is exactly what the young minds should not be exposed to. Sad.

How does Lamb get appointed the batting coach when there’s no time left to coach? 😂 They’ve been practicing for about a year.
It starts in a month. He should just pitch up on the day and they could save a month’s salary.
I guess they need a name on the program where it says - Batting Coach 😂
For the team to play it’s first international a few days before the WC does not auger well. We’re in miracle territory if anyone is expecting better than 12th spot.
There are some good batters in particular in that side, they deserve better treatment than that.

Looking at Zimbabwe’s last two groups at this event this is still their best chance of progressing, in 2018 they had Australia & India which they were never getting past & in the 2016 edition they had England & eventual winners West Indies.
Can’t say I know anything about the Pakistan & Bangladesh sides but I’m still confident this is their best chance to go through since 2006.

Idk much about the PAK side beyond Naseem but this is one of the strongest BD sides at the U-19 level, and we usually always make it to the knockout stages. We are most likely favored to top the group.

How much exposure have these boys had to conditions they’re going to see in South Africa?

Just read Mukhulani’s inspirational send off speech 😂
“You can only be u19 once!”
Unless you’re Madhevere, Shumba or Myers, then you can be u19 almost as many times as you like. 😂
They’re good players, I’m just laughing at what was said.
We must have more u19 WC repeat caps than any other team.
This young Tugwete lad is a decent player, he’s on a soccer scholarship in The States. He’s probably the best schoolboy hockey player in the land, breathtaking skills, but he’s not likely to touch a cricket bat ever again after this WC and highly unlikely to return to our shores except for Xmas holidays.
A couple of WC’s ago they picked a South African boy who took the WC holiday and never returned. That selection probably resulted in Byrom and Welch leaving for greener pastures 😂, definitely ZC’s biggest blunder in terms of losing quality players in recent times. What would they give to see a rapier and a broadsword crossing that boundary line now? Well they don’t give a s**t, they’ll only stare at each other in dumbfounded indignation and disbelief the day after we get our allocation halved and start whining about racism within the ICC, but us as fans would be licking our lips.
Mark my words- Byrom is good enough to open for England and I predict he will get a shot in the next 5 years. Here’s a big statement- there’s no one in world cricket with more time on the ball, he’s going to be a batting superstar. ZC “selectors” swapped him for a 5 ft 6 South African who’s now a body builder 😂
I guess Rands talks.
