i have a question and who is footing for all the costs for this tour.. is it the zc coffers or takashinga.. my inner gut tells me zc could be footing all expenses..

Maybe some reciprocity after Takashinga toured there?

Many of those guys are not Takashinga players so you know it’s not Takashinga paying for it. Its guaranteed to be ZC, but they’ve given Takashinga the money to host.

ZC supposedly don’t have any money from ICC yet so when Mukhulani was claiming he’d paid for something or other out of his own pocket we can now take that statement with a bag of salt 😂

The rains will hopefully arrive in a week or so, just in time for the start of our FC, as I stated. Nothing will change here, if anything it’s about to get worse.

I saw on twitter that Masakanda has now headed off to Australia.

And the farm invasions continue, my friends in Chinhoyi have just been kicked off their place by drunken aggressive disgusting people, doing their master’s bidding for a case of beer and some $5 Russian vodka.

Then the real owner will move on and strip the house if window and door frames and roof sheets, try and get some Command Agriculture loan money from the comfort of his house in Harare with no intention of farming or paying back the loan and let the productive farm slowly return to virgin bush. This is a mind boggling place.

Our President was at Lake Chivero last week and got angry because no one had told him that the pipe taking water to the Morton Jaffray water works for purification was broken. This is the dam that’s supposed to supply the 4 million people that live in and around Harare.

This place is upside down I tell you.

To be fair, the Innocent One had a good game with the bat as well in match 3.

Looks as though Uganda are touring Zimbabwe for Five 50 over matches against a variety of Zimbabwean sides, Takashinga will be hosting the Ugandans.

Uganda Cricket has named 16 players that will travel to Zimbabwe for a build-up tour ahead of the World Challenge League.

The tour will be used to assess the quality within the side before a final 14 will be selected for the World Challenge League due in Oman from 1-12 December.

The training squad of 12 players will form the core of the touring with four other players added. Dinesh Nakrani and Ronak Patel were added to the side with left-arm pace bowler Jonathan Ssembanja and Bilal Hassan also been given a chance to sneak into the final 14.

The team will play five ODIs against select sides in Zimbabwe, the touring party will be hosted by Takashinga Cricket Club who have a great relationship with Uganda Cricket.

Steve Tikolo and his technical team will use the trip to assess the strength of the side. Roger Mukasa has looked loose in the trial games and without the captaincy baggage, he will look in fine form. Hamu Kayondo, Arnold Otwani, and the returning Shahzad Kamal will be looking to make the most of the trip as they test themselves against quality opposition.

Richard Agamire on his first trip with the senior team has an opportunity to show what he has got to confirm his place on the final 14.

There is no official communication on who the permanent captain of the team will be but Brian Masaba will lead the side on Zimbabwe Tour.

They’re playing Takashinga 3 times, u19 once and then OH once in a T20. I guess if you don’t belong to Takashinga you’re a bit stuffed 😂
ZCF OriginalZCF Hall of Famer
Seems a waste for the Ugandans. Why not play Zim a and Zim?

Id actually find that demeaning.

Wouldn’t want us playing teams lower than Namibia, Dutch etc

Like going from an investment banker to Burger King cashier.

Besides, even then we would find a way to show them the utmost respect and watch the game go down to the wire as Zimbabwe carefully negotiate the 3.5 run rate required no doubt.

Game 3 v Takashinga

These scorecards right here show why we can’t promote ‘new bloods’.

Only Craig and Raza in the 33 people listed from Zimbabwe played to close to required standard against Uganda.
