Maybe because cricket was for decades the embodiment of a racist colonial regime?

And the longer you let that bitterness embody you, the more you will never progress.

If Mandela could do it, why can we not follow suit. Cricket is now a majority black sport, ruled by blacks. How much longer are they going to live in the colonial past.

We don't love Mandela. Never have and never will! Don't let those who control the media lead you to believe otherwise. He is a cowardly traitor just like his long annointed successor leading the country right now Cyril Ramaphosa.

All that has been achieved has been inspite of him, not because of him!

If he was effective then "those people" would have turned against him, just like they turned against Desmond Tutu for 1-Proposing White Tax; and 2-Demanding more Black representation in the Springboks.

Economics aside, there is one major difference why Zimbabwean players, coaches and Administrators who are African, have struggled. It's because of their fellow brothers and sisters.

We have always thrown our weight behind all 'black' players no matter how much the media tried to destroy them: Gibbs, Langeveldt, Ntini, Amla, Tsolekile, Tsotsobe, Philander, Berhadien, Bavuma, Phehlukwayo, Loots. Every time they had a poor game alongside a white players, the media always isolated them and hammered them. It was so blantant and unapologetic (same applies to Zimbabwe if you consider how many pathetic performances the likes of Waller and Moor dished out in recent memory).

We always supported and defended our players.

Here you go through the forum and see how many times fellow brothers hammered eg a Maruma and Chari and you wonder if they stop to think what it does to those players when they visit the forum or Facebook. This is why our players have better self-esteem and confidence. They don't have self-sabotaging fans.

If you listen to some people here you would be forgiven for thinking that Craig Evans, John Rennie, Gavin Rennie and Dirk Viljoen were better players/allrounders than Elton Chigumbura and Stuart Matsikenyeri. Never! Even Timecyn Maruma has/had a higher ceiling those four!

An Andile Phehlukwayo will excel, not because he is more talented than Mluleki Nkala, Elton Chigumbura, Luke Jongwe, or William Mashinge - no ways, but it's because we love and support him. Had Vusi Sibanda received even half the love Temba Bavuma gets, it would have done him a whole lot of good! Same applies to coaches Toyana and Nkwe where Mangongo is concerned. Most of our players are Xhosa but loved by Sotho, Venda etc alike. We build, yet you guys destroy your fellowman while a 29 year old PJ Moor quietly without being droped amasses 50 ODI caps while averaging 20 at a 60SR against the likes of UAE, NED & SCO! Whereas, a Forster Mutizwa had to average 35-40 against this level of opposition, and be dropped for averaging 20 odd against the likes of NZ.

Anyway...

I’m curious why you think Mandela is a traitor?

I didn’t much like him either, but maybe for different reasons.

Also curious why you think Chingoka was a great man?

He will take the opposite opinion to what you have.

So now that you have said you are no fan of Mandela, He's going to write up an Invictus sequel with 'but hes actually good at this and that on second thought'.

What is there not to love about fighting for freedom and then choosing a path of peace over retaliation. An eye for an eye makes the world blind. However, in the case of Africa, most go blind by sticking a fork in their own eye. It's funny how you can call a man who spent 27 years of his life behind bars as a coward.

What has been achieved since Madiba? Nkandla? Guptas? Yengeni? Travelgate?

How often have the white players been inconsistently bad and not dropped or written about. You don't pay attention to that. You just look for the moments when a black players gets the same treatment and cry wolf. Let's forget Tsotsobe because of his match-fixing and such, but are you really arguing that black SA players get it worse? A bowling attack that has 3 black players as the spearheads. Amla was justified in the media criticism. He never let it affect him though. He put his head down and worked hard to prove everyone wrong, and they loved him. Same for Ntini. Put his head down and worked. Has Bavuma not taken his chance. Andile will excel because he works. He learns when he gets taught and he works to better himself. You see it in his talk and his demeanor. But if its because you love him, imagine if you loved everyone regardless.

With regards to Maruma. No doubt, man has produced the goods at domestic level. Not at international. He has been dropped because of that. Rennies, Evans and Viljoen the same. Produced at domestic, not at international. Got dropped.

Are we going to forget the times SA was forced to pick players of colour only to have that cost the team. Biggest that comes to mind is Philander in the WC semi.

One of the problem is Africa is that everyone wants things handed to them on a plate. You have independence and then expect everything to just flow for you, and then when it does not work, you blame some colonialist from 5o years ago.

With Zim, PJ Moor has proved his worth to side on many an occasion. The problem with our team is not the talent, but the professionalism. Guys do not work. They take the easy ride. Hammy being the prime example. Should have been dropped over a year ago, but instead became captain and rides his crap.

I remember most bagging out Ervine on here and saying he got a free ride as a white guy. He came back and blasted top scores proving all of you wrong.

I'm all for black empowerment, i really am. I just dont understand why everything has to be about skin colour. It's just tiring. The best person regardless of skin colour should get the job. It's the name on the front that matters, not the name on the back.

There is nothing good about Mandela as far as I'm concerned.

zimbos_05 your response is all over. And stop being the 25th book of the Bible.

As for the rest, I have this to say:

"There is nothing more unequal than the equal treatment of unequal people!"

Wow can't believe PC is dead :o :o :o

After all these years hating his guts it's quite sobering, RIP none the less

I do how ever find it ironic reading through some posts here & on other platforms that the same people who claim PC did a great job running the game, also defend Mukuhlani saying 'the damage was done before he arrived' 😂 😂 😂 😂

Geez Manase must have spent some cash in the 2 minutes he was in charge 😂 😂 😂

Would you speak out and do something about the holding back of white young talent? Has any single black person here ever done so in 30 years? Bear in mind plenty of whites helped develop plenty of black cricketers and spoke out against an unfair system.

The day young Joe Smith Jr says if it weren’t for my fantastic coach Fanwell Matangadura I never would have cracked this racist discriminatory system will be a cold day in hell. 😂 😂

You guys wear self-serving blinkers. 😂

The article clearly says Chingoka was there when we pitched for full membership. Now its being made to sound like he took over something he had no part in creating. Sounds very personal if you ask me.

I am sure young Roche getting a national team game when he was nowhere near ready might disagree. You forget Mangongo leaving behind his fastest bowler for the last u19 world cup because he accused him of favouring white players?

I dont know how long its gonna take for people to realize that its no longer about black versus white anymore. Its now about a rich ruling elite against everybody else. If you think the likes of Bvute do what they do because they are racist then you are completely lost. Money has no colour. What probably happens is that people of a certain colour refused to be part of certain activities then the "racists" have to create a narrative to get rid of them.

It just shows that there is a certain age group who will never forgive each other.

Wrong. The rich ruling elite are all black and whenever they are challenged by anyone, black or white they cry racism. If it is a white person challenging them call them Rhodies or colonists, if it is a black person challenging them they are called stooges of the west and the white imperialists. Crying racism is the easiest way for anyone in Zimbabwe to stay above suspicion.

If you were to name the top 10 wealthiest Zimbabweans today at least 5 of them would be white. We could go on a naming spree if you want.

http://spotlight-z.com/news/zimbabwes-r ... 2019-list/

This list is not even entirely accurate in terms of order, networth and its missing a few people. Networth is hard to calculate. What I want you to see from this is the number of white names. They exist and they are well and truly wealthy and a lot of them sponsor the regime. It is a MYTH to think there are no rich ruling elite white people. Absolute lies.
ZCF OriginalLegend
The rich white invest their money back. Just need to look at Hellenic school, Borrowdale, the cricket centres, PE computer centre.

The rich black elite buy themselves fancy watches, cars, go on unnecessary holidays and then blame everyone else and their shadow for everything that is happening.

Also, blaming the failures of Hammy on others is bullshit. He is a professional. You do not need others to tell you that you need to train and push yourself. He has just not bothered. He took the easy road.

Have dealt with both Chingokas personally. Can say it was not very pleasant times. They started off well intentioned, but then just diverged to self interest and buying in to political nonsense that would destroy both cricket and tennis.

Like they dont have private jets, fancy houses and Porsches. You are so blinded by hate bro. Its a shame. Or maybe you just havent been around wealthy white people to see it for yourself.

Its this kind of language which makes any moderate people be like screw it if you hate Africa so much go where its perfect. I am sure they love your presence there in Austrailia Zimbos
ZCF Hall of Famer
That’s not an accurate list, but you’re entirely right that there are a lot of white folk on that list.

To say they sponsor the regime is not quite correct. They hand cash and kind over and wear zanu pf tie pins in order to stay in business, it’s a survival mechanism, they’re paying for protection.

There are some seriously wealthy Indians and black guys missing off that list as well, I think it was designed to make it look like the whites are doing just fine thanks when 99% of us are struggling big time or have already left.

It’s ok to be rich, that’s surely a reasonable goal. I know a few of those guys personally and they’re decent people, and of course big employers who the trade unions can also feed off coz sure as hell they don’t survive off black employers. I’m not being racist, I’m bitter, there’s a big difference
