Really enjoyed this squad.
Starting to look more to the future.

I just hope we don’t lock our ODI squad to early before the World Cup next year. Use this time to test some things.

Good squad. Like LoveOcean said, Cremer's ommission is a bit surprising.

Does Bennett move back up to open in ODIs?

Bennett is opening for me in every format.

In tests: 4 makes sense. Every team plays their best batsman there and he is Zim's best bat. Kaia and Curran can open. Matthew Campbell is next in line.

In T20s: Bennett opens.

In ODIs: Bennett opens with Curran.

I do wonder if the CWC is a bridge-too-far for Craig Ervine. If it is, I'd rather we cut him loose now and develop Matthew Campbell.

Hmm tend to agree but I feel his a good depth option.

Looking forward to the ODI series.

It’s been a while since Burl has played ODI. I think he will need to have a good series to cement his spot.

Golden duck in his first dig in the series. If he fails in the next two games surely he should be making way.

My temptation to see Brian Bennett as a swashbuckling test opener is largely due to the fact that he scored a test century opening the batting in Eng vs Eng in Notts. Scoring a test century in England is a dream for many batters specially when opportunities are limited and that too as an opener. It was a breathtaking innings.
