Obviously ervine and Williams are retired from 20/20 but still badly needed for 50 over and test matches still.
Do we give matt Welch a go up top in the 50 over format maybe?
Zolsky seems to be advocating for Matt Campbell which is a strange one given his paucity of games.
Munyonga needs a longer rope in the shorter format as does Musekiwa. Can't even do a baseline reading on Musekiwa given how he batted so late on in the African qualifiers.
Mavuta surely is our number one spinner now you would think barring nepotism.
Like I said not so much predicting squads more of a thread on deserving players for our upcoming multi format series. Feel free to give some input 😃
Marumani has played 1 less FC game than Burl. Burl had a 7 year head start. In fact Burl averages about 3 FC games a year. I don't know how this happened but it's not a good look.
When are the Regional squads going to be announced? If at all.
I've been following the Danielsson Mawoza argument on X.
Here's my 10c worth. Why have Regionals after 1 week of cricket?
Judging from what Mawoza says about Vinny they're not going to go on current form. So what form are they basing it on? Last year's?
Look we're giving you a trial because you played really well a year ago. 😂
Raza has joined the fray and stated NPL form means nothing either. Again doesn't make sense when Takashinga fielded the national bowlers 4 times and got badly f***ed up 4 times by the NW, MW, Burl and Williams. 😂
Why have the NPL? Who's been given even a franchise gig off the back of a good NPL season?
Form is only important if a Chosen One happens to be in form. Stats don't mean anything here because only 4 people have any stats worth mentioning and one of them keeps getting ignored 😂
Why not pick the national side straight up. Same tired guys they always pick, then pick a side of in-form players to beat them resoundingly in 2 warm up games?
I don't know why Raza, Mawoza and Co feel they have to justify their biased selections. Nobody believes them except for the handful of trolls and ghost accounts 😂

Matt Campbell has got a franchise gig after a good NPL. Jayden Schaden to a certain extent as well, he didn't get a look in at the Rocks.
To be fair, I agree with Raza on that pathway to the National team. It just lacks implementation I guess, but that really should be the path, with a few exceptions but still not skipping more than one step. Really hope that this generation follows the path and get rewarded when it’s due. This culture would really bolster the competitiveness of the domestic setup.
Schadendorf was already in the mix, ya MC is one guy who benefitted. Jarryd Basson, who looked technically excellent did not 😂
Is there a downside for established players not performing in the NPL?
I think NPL is a great thing. It's essentially compulsory club cricket. Every franchise cricketer in the country and not on national duty is obliged to play. The top teams are barely diluted, those games are a whisker off franchise cricket.
The Takashinga Rangers games were possibly a small step up from franchise cricket. The best players in a needle contest, how does that not factor in? They know it should, hence deciding to rope in Raza to talk crap because they know he's more believable than Mawoza 😂
The whole thing about spending time dropping wisdom on Associate players was interesting.
Surely he should spend that time and more helping up and coming players in Zimbabwe , unless of course he's happy remaining the top dog in a s**t team? It's possible his ego doesn't mind that. Work with a few guys who should be in the squad perhaps? He either wants the best for Zim cricket or he doesn't, there's no half way. He's too big for ZC to clip his wings. He's actually in a position to make a difference, but he takes the easy road. He doesn't fool most of the players, and they're the guys that count, not his adoring Cremora fan base.
As usual the journos don't ask the difficult questions.
It’s patronising to these associates, what wisdom really could a full member who failed in the last three consecutive qualifiers and somehow ended up in the sub regional qualifiers really give? And would you take it? It would be wisdom about picking your mates and persisting with the same failed favourites, wisdom on what not to do.
He had a legitimate purple patch two years ago now and performed well against Bangladesh and India, since then it’s been down hill and associate bashing. He loves being top dog in a s**t team, except he isn’t even that. Williams is the main man but flies under the radar because all he does is turn up, boss it and go home after a days work. Probably isn’t even on Instagram 😂
I entirely respect Raza's game, his will to win, the fact that he's essentially kept us on the map...just, and i really enjoy watching him play and obviously want him to do well, both here and abroad.
He's also a good guy.
But I stand by what I said. If he wants to leave the game here better than he found it then he could do a bit more. He's the only guy that can disagree with ZC with impunity, and as I said he could do a few coaching sessions with the better guys.
He's like BT, Ervine, Williams. They've had to work a lot of s**t out for themselves and they're very good. I'm not excusing them either, whilst I'm at it.
ZC divides and rules and everyone is out for themselves.
