Opening post

Need to take this thing seriously. Starts on the 21st-28th with the draft today. Last year each side had to have 6 Zimbabweans in their squad with 4 in each match day line up.

Two new sides owned by Sri Lankans and Bangladeshis

Here are the players signed before the draft

That'll be why they brought the start time forward and didn't play it under lights as planned, I assume.

Dawlat Zadran, Yasir Shah and Kashif Dawood under investigation by ICC ACU for spot-fixing during the Zim Afro T10 2024.

I believe a number of players were also investigated in the 2023 edition but the ACU couldn't get any evidence to stick.

I love how Jonty presents himself as a know all 😂 😂

We knew there was spot fixing in 2023 and 2024 - it was posted and alluded to on this very forum by others. ICC investigations drew a blank though in 2023. But anyone in the ground will tell you it was obvious. I didn't attend this year but back in 2023 the number of asians flown in and on their phones and with notebooks and laptops the entire time in the crowd was ridiculous. Never seen anything like it.

Like alot of things here, if you're benefitting, you're gonna keep quiet.

Imagine if the ICC funded us in ZiG! The administration would fall away quicker than a leech with salt 🤣
