In the 3 day game Chataira looked good and took some good wickets with pacey balls.
Jono Campbell looked class although that was one innings out of 4. Must be more consistent
Gumbie and Burl scored some good runs against the Durham side and it looks like Gumbie has put a whole heap of work into his limited over game. He keeps it up Madande will be nervous.
Nyauchi 5 wickets against Durham in 3 day game.
Wallace mubaiya 4 wickets against Durham and he looked class and can spin a ball unlike Wellington 😅
Ndlovu bowling and batting in the 3 day games. Can be a genuine all rounder for zimbabwe going forward.
I think the biggest things are unearthing new players against higher class opposition. Chaitara and Wallace mubaiya looked like they weren't overawed and did very well I think.

We talk about Durham like its high class opposition, but it is no better than any associate international side.

That's a big statement

True though.
It’s Durham who’ve been in division two the last 50 years. If they were that awesome they’d have been bossing everything in England forever. Haven’t even got their own hundred team ffs 😂

Dominated division two last year and will certainly finish in the top half of division one this year I reckon.

Maybe you mean another County.
Durham has been quite successful: they won three times County Championship in the last 15 years.
Only because of economic and political mismanagement they have been relegated in Division 2 in 2016.
Now they are back in Division1.

Durham have some decent players for sure and are stronger than our sides no doubt BUT I do stand by what I said. Their is no world class attack.
If you took that Durham team and put them in the upcoming World Cup they would get pumped. Anally.
How can our guys handle attacks like Scotland if they get so slaughtered by the Durham attack?
National players failed. The ‘future’ failed.
What If Australia A had toured?
That Eagles team is as strong as a ZIM A team.
That is the scariest thought, but used to be commonplace.

Woods, Stokes, Coughlin, Raine, Parkinson etc is a damned fine bowling attack.

We faced 3 out of them 5.
Ryan Burl was the only one who really looked like he was troubling the Durham bowlers in the short format. Gumbie also hit 40 odd against them. Really impressed by him in limited overs. He has surprised me

The most annoying thing is we didn't have our best sides. Ngarava buggered off before the Durham game for the Eagles. Raza and muzurabani playing in foreign leagues. Munyonga and Moor didn't play for mountaineers against Durham. Ben Curran was dropped and antum navqi got Injured bowling just one ball and not batting

If that's the case, says a lot about how poor our standard is. They strolled to victory in every game they played in. The final of the T20 was a shambles. Eagles got bowled for 16 and it had some of our international players in it.

Ya that’s the whole point 😂
They won a massive 4 out of 14 in last season’s Blast and didn’t progress beyond the group stages. As has already been noted; hardly the best county.
