So cricket has been included in the Olympic sports at the Los Angeles Olympiad.
It seems it is going to be a 6 nations tournament, T20 format.
Maybe for Test nations it won't change much. For all others it does: local Boards will receive interesting money from national olympic committees to develop the sport locally and (hopefully) make acceptable pitches.
Holland aside, in all continental Europe natural turf pitches are still virtually non existent.

"England" will be a little stronger as it will have to participate as Great Britain, so it can use Scottish prospects.
Wes Indies won't exist: there will be Jamaica, Barbados, St.Lucia, etc.

So you may be wrong there if we follow the precedent of women's Commonwealth Games cricket last year. The West Indies qualified based on their ranking. And then the WICB held a inter-island tournament to decide which team/nation took up the spot in the Games. Barbados in the end.
Presumably if England qualify they'll compete as Great Britain but seems highly unlikely they will select anyone Scottish. Technically several players who currently play for Ireland but are from the North would be eligible for a GB team too e.g. Paul Stirling.
