Well it's not a struggle here if you are on a national team contract! Those guys are getting handsomely paid nowadays. Moor's family is very rich anyway - they have fingers in a lot of pies, gambling/bookies especially.

And ya times are tough and the problems are endless here but it's still a better place to live than Ireland surely 😂 I know where I'd rather be!

How is Zimbabwe better than Ireland for living? Ireland is a first world country.

Have you been to Zimbabwe?

Weather, people, landscape, natural beauty.

Zimbawe has amazing beauty and weather so in that sense, yes, better for living.

Living is not just that though. It's about economy, corruption, affordability, education, employment, security, healthcare. A lot of these things don't exist in Zim and that's what tips the scales.

Not everyone in Zim, including some middle classes, will have access to those things. Yet, even the poor in Ireland have access to majority of those things or support to try and build up to or obtain those things.

In the case of an apparently rather wealthy guy like Peter Moor which SZ was referring to, Zimbabwe must be still a much better place to live. But yeah of course for the general population ZImbabwe must suck pretty hard

Why u going of topic

Ireland 🇮🇪 is better than Zimbabwe to live there, to take a shitt there ( no Blair toilets I heard of(( , freedom of speech ( people are not getting murdered for their political views just because,

Actually never been to Ireland so why I am interested because Potholes in Zimbabwe are so big kids play hide and seek in them..

I heard the Malawi gvt apologized to it's citizens for a power outrage in the Nation, that's in Malawi 🇲🇼

Let's talk about Dave helping Zim Cricket

2nd and third world countries are good to live in IF you have a decent revenue stream.

Problem is by definition, most unfortunately do not have that.

Always nice to read people slating your country 😂 I’m guessing one or two of the posters haven’t ever even been here 😂 😂

Now that Houghton's back, do you think he'd have any pull on Ballance, with him being his nephew and all?
ZCF Hall of Famer
By all accounts they're going to soldier on with the existing team, certainly for these qualifiers.

Standard stuff from the peanut gallery.

Just seen a clip of Brad Evans bowling absolute heat in the NPL. On a dead Harare track. Why tf is he being ignored by the brains trust

I don't think 240kph would be good enuf.
ZCF Hall of Famer
About half the players from the winning Lions team as well as a load of other youngsters are spending a few months this winter in India apparently. Chigumbura Academy tour

I think Evans will be in the qualifiers squad . They can’t possibly pick Tiripano again! Surely!

I dont know much about brads variations. Maybe take a look at him in the 50 over stuff.
He seems to bowl quite short as his natural length which at his pace is plenty quick enough at the current domestic level but I'm not sure how well that would translate internationally really - he reminds me of a right arm George Garton alot actually

I hope so. Evans is a better option than both Don and Jongwe ans it is quite common sense esp with his team winning the NPL title Evans should be favt.

I'll personally keep Mumba in the scheme of things as well, as I've said before. May not make the squad but surely should be a part of the A teams. He is a clean hitter lower down who can't possibly do worse in bowling than Jongwe and Tiripano.

I don't know but I've suddenly lost hope in Tiripano after that Afghanistan series.

Not sure who this is aimed at, but I think the lack of honest reflection of Zim is one of the things holding it back.

As for the cricket, Houghton is in a very tight spot. The only players talked about as coming back are all white players. You just know if things don't work, ZC and their cronies will roll out the racism card yet again. We are in a cycle that is helpful to no one and the worst thing is that heaps of players are being lost to the game.
I do agree on Mumba based on the last few performances. Tiripano is a good player, but based on stats, he is ideal for Test Cricket.

Also is Cephas Zhuwao still an option? We do need some powerful hitting at the start.
