Superb stuff from Cremer. 5-for already, his third of the season.

Superb from Cremer. Great to see him in some form ahead of the tests!

He only played 4 matches in the Logan Cup this year, but managed 28 wicket @ 19. That makes him the 4th highest wicket taker, with the joint-most 5-fors and 1 of only 5 to take a 10-for, despite playing less matches than all his competition. The only spinner with a better average was Tapiwa Mufudza, who only bowled 60 overs.

Well done Cremer, and good to see Moor finally do some justice to all the talent that was being talked about...

There is some confusion here with respect to Logan Cup championship victory, the Cricinfo tables already show an unassailable lead for Tuskers with a match to go: http://www.espncricinfo.com/zimbabwe-do ... ointstable

There was also a report on Tuskers having won the title thrice in a row a week back: http://dailynews.co.zw/article/Sport/32 ... 73a8305c24

So, Tuskers are already champions!

It was decided halfway through the season that a team gets 3 points for a draw. Just another conspiracy started by ZC. Bad luck to my goats that thought they still had a chance of winning

Interestingly, no one told the guy (John Ward??) who writes the match reports for the ZC site. Clearly no one at ZC thought about proof-reading them, and correcting such a glaring and crucial error either...

😂 8 wickets, brilliant! I don't take pride in top players performing poorly, particularly if they're national team candidates. Why do you think I'm pleased when even Maruma and Mutumbami do well?

Moor was hard done by!

Rainsford got 8 wickets, in the first innings against a Goats lineup with Hami&Mawoyo. Just one or two said anything, no qualms from me. ;)

It was probably discussed during one of their meetings, but like Taylor he was probably sleeping or assumed the conclusions reached were inconsequential! 😂

:( How can you change the rules halfway through the season? In the first match of the campaign against Tuskers Tino made a sporting declaration, probably on the reasoning that it's of no use to secure the draw first ... and then later the goalpost are changed.

Well, congrats to the Tuskers on a good FC season!

Looking back it makes sense that sides started to play more defensive cricket in the second half of the season, declining to chase targets that were not out of sight.

Going forward I think the points system needs to be revised. It's ok to get points for a draw (it was odd that you should get the same reward for a loss and a draw), but when two draws at 3 points each equal one win (6 points) this only encourages negative cricket. I think it should be more like 3 points for a draw, 12 for a win. The system used in the County Championship is even better with it's allocation of first innings bonus points for batting and bowling.

Then ZC went and published them anyway... :?
