ZCF Hall of Famer

Opening post

There's been a lot of discussion lately on just who our best batsman is now.

Vote for you believe are our top 3. We'll go with ODIs for the purposes of this topic.
I went with Chibhabha, Williams & Ervine (in no order)

Chibhabha: He gives the innings an early impetus and he seems to constantly release the pressure built up at the other end with regular boundaries just when they're needed.

Williams: Down on form lately but is the master of keeping the score moving and playing positively while an Ervine/Masakadza type get themseles dug in for a big one, which I think is very much an underrated role.

Ervine: 41.24, Need I say anything more :D

Yet Craig&Chibhabha are ahead of Hami? Someone with no ODI century after 88 ODIs (failing in these 5 ODI series), is ahead of Hami? Will Zimbabwe even get more than 2 ODI Series next year so he can score some bigy runs before a Series is decided?

Forgive me but BRM said now, so it's up to him to clarify that statement if form is a factor. I took the now to mean now. Otherwise if you say not according to form, then ranking Craig&Chibhabha ahead of Hami is a bit of an insult one does not expect to find on a forum that follows Zimbabwe cricket closely don't you think?

Even Elton Chigumbura has hit the toughest centuries lately(I gave him his 1st vote). Led from the front! A former tailender. Yet Sean Williams a top order batsman has ZERO, despite this year playing UAE once, and Ireland 3 times, tomorrow being the 4th?

Sean Williams has played against Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Ireland, Kenya, & UAE 38 times, yet he has no Century! How does such a player get rated ahead of Hami? NO century after playing Kenya 6 times? Best? :?

Just as well he didn't get a century against Associates, then you would be lambasting him for being a flat track bully. Sean Williams has played a key role in many of our victories, if you actually followed cricket you would know this.

Must be exciting watching static scorecards of ZIMCCHXI vs AFG, and following Liam's biased coverage of ZIM - IRE neh?
