Opening post

it hit outside the line, umpires call on hitting the stumps.

Well the spinners in this game did better than the ones in the first test. I'd get rid of Chari, he looks well off the pace, bring in Richmond to take the gloves and send Regis up the order, or bring in Shingi and push everyone up a slot.

Oh really? Must have missed that. Would've lost anyway.

the commentators missed it as well, but they missed pretty much everything.

drop Chari, bring in Richmond or Shingi.

Williams should be here ahead of Waller

A pretty depressing end. At least some personal glory like Hammy getting hundred in both digs would have kept our spirits high. I'd bring in both Shingi and Wellington and create some sort of history at least in the next one.

in my kid's cricket you can't be out if it bounces twice

:D :D :D

Perhaps we can set up a French Cricket Test playing Nations? What you saw right now was the best Zim has to offer probably for 20-30yrs.
Mangongo n makoni f them . Selecting chari ave 20. rubbish ahead of mawoyo vermuelen its shocking

I'm not sure I agree with all the negative things being said about Chari. He did waaay better than Vusi of the recent times. Vermeulen failed miserably on the A tour and Tino wasn't backing up his repute with scores back home. And Chari did well on the A tour. I see no reason why he should not be selected or not be playing. He was probably the best option we had apart from Hammy / Regis opening - in which case it would have jeopardized their approach to the game - the only two who did well in this test. I don't want to disturb them from their no.3 and and 5 for next test too, for the same reason. So, Chari will play again for me.

Waller was picked as a bowler mainly and he did his job. But of course we expect better from him with the bat. Chigs, Ervine, Raza and BT are the ones who must be receiving flak for not doing better than what they did. Imagine. Even if one of them had contributed significantly (60-70) even in one of the two digs, we would have at least salvaged a draw. Those are the guys who should be getting criticized, not poor old Chari who definitely looks like one for the future even if not fully ready yet. He definitely was the best option available.

Hindsight, I wouldn't have minded seeing Prosper play as pure batsman - opener. Never thought I would say this though.
