Convincing win by Zimbabwe in the 1st ODI clearly left some Bangladesh fans unhappy, and produced a rather indignant response from the Bangladesh captain: he thinks his side can still win the series 4-1. What will Zimbabwe have to say about that, we wonder..?

I think we should assume that Utseya is out of the match as Hamilton said at the press conference that it did not look good for him. I cant imagine them replacing him with Mpofu as we all ready have three seemers plus Masakadza so it will have to be a batsman who replaces him, i.e one of Malcolm Waller, Forster Mutizwa or Mark Vermulen.
This will mean that we are down to five bowlers plus Masakadza and we need to question if Chibabha can fill a 10 over quota and if not then i think Waller is in prime position to come in the side with his off spinners, he is also an excellent player of spin which will come in handy but he will probably bat down at eight and is it worth playing Mutizwa or Vermulen if we are going to bat them down at 8? probably not as at least with Waller you get a bowling option.
I would also like to see Coventry batting at three with Taylor at 4 and Taibu at 5 as i think Coventry is most effective when he gets in early and has time to bat rather than hitting out at the end without having time to play himself in.

Taylor never got the chance during the 1st ODI, so I'd like him to come in at 3 and build an innings. He has something to prove and he can rotate the strike well, preserving his wicket and allowing others to take more risks. Taibu is fine at 5 and I'd wait for the 3rd ODI before bringing Mutizwa in.

Remember that Zimbabwe are only playing three spinners because they couldn’t get rid of Prosper Utseya, Graeme Cremer or Price.
So I agree with Situ. Bring Mtizwa in. At three or seven it matters little (Chigumbura can be promoted according to the match situation).
I think Chibhabha can fill his full quota of ten overs. He comes in as change bowler so he can bowl ten straight in the middle.

Mark Vermeulen is ruled out for this match also due to injury. He has said to ''Prothom Alo'' that he may return in the next ODI or if not then for the last 2 ODI'S in Chittagong.
I would like the see the following Zimbabwean lineup for 2nd ODI:
1. Hamilton Masakadza (C)
2. Brendan Taylor
3. Justice Chibhabha
4. Tatenda Taibu (WK)
5. Charles Coventry
6. Stuart Matsikenyeri
7. Elton Chigumbura
8. Malcolm Waller

I would have made some changes in the batting order.
I don't think Brendan Taylor is suited perfectly at no 3. Bring him in the opening spot with Masakadza. Swith Chibhabha's place to no 3. It's his prime position.
Tatenda Taibu at no 4 is absolutely perfect. Charles Coventry at no 5 because I reckon he brings some stability in the middle order. Chibhabha is young and I think he should be given the license to hit where he wants in the Powerplay 1 and he can face some difficulties if he comes in at no 5/6, in the middle order.

So we maybe forced to change a winning team. I personnally havent agreed with a lot of the selections of late but I think the team that played in the first ODI is the best team we have had in a long time. Well balanced with three seam options and three spin options this is something we have had in a while. Now, with Vermuelen not yet fully fit and an additional seamer (Mpofu) being out of the question. We could as well flip a coin as to who gets the node between Waller and Mutizwa. Chibhabha has bowled beautifully on this tour so far but there is need for some back up if thing dont go his way so this would favour Waller. Masakadza can also chip in hear and there. I wonder why Matsikinyere no longer bowls these days. Even for his domestic side! He used to bowl some pretty useful offbreaks.

I thought a walk was a good idea after watching that batting performance, when will batsmen learn that if you let bowlers get on top of you they will take over the game, the way that they treated Abdur Razzak you would think that he was the second coming of Bishen Bedi, they're all just waiting for him to get them out, get after him and show that he's just an ordinary bowler for goodness sakes.
I'm very glad to see that Detective RDS is not locked up in jail after the water bottle incidents on tuesday ;) but i have to disagree with him on one point, personally i think that Taibu is batting very poorly indeed and i wouldn't pick him if he isn't going to behave like an experienced professional, his batting looks more like a number 10, a poor number 10 at that. There is no need for all this idiotic sweeping, switch hits and slogging, he is a perfectly good batsman who should be playing correct shots and scoring runs.
We've almost thrown this game away with a thoughtless and poor batting performance, now it's the bowlers turn and it looks like Bangladesh are only going to need about 15 overs to win the game, poor, poor, poor display .......
