Chatara sat out the last round of matches after the WC, so I wouldn't be overly worried, especially the way this match is progressing. Of course it would be different if the Tuskers had racked up 500+ runs. But even Sean Williams can't do that on his own.
It's always fun when spinners take each other on. Mushangwe is clearly unimpresed with Nyumbu's offerings, hitting four sixes in his last two overs which went for 32 runs (30 of them to Mushangwe).
Williams gets Mushangwe for 40 entertaining runs. Willie has completely overshadowed Nyumbu in this match. But that innings of Mushangwe could very well be a match defining one.
The Tuskers have un- earthed some good young players this year but have been one or two quality batsman short .....
Maybe with the rocks going they might pick up a few of their players their line up could look something like this .....
N.Mpofu
B.Chari
S.Williams
R.Mutumbami
R.Kaia
G.Mamhiyo
L.Jongwe
T.Panyangara
T.Mupariwa
J.Nyumbu
C.Mpofu
S.Chimhamhiwa 12th man
That line up is still probably short 1 quality top order batsman, maybe Mark Vermeulan might continue his 'contiki' tour of the franchises and end up at the Tuskers .....
