West Indies v Zimbabwe: Only Twenty20 International

Port au Spain, 28 February 2010

First T20 meeting between the two sides.
I wish the boys all the. Watching the Windies play in Australia they kind of lacked that killer instinct from my point of view. If Zimbabwe Focuses on playing the game I think we can produce a result. Twenty 20 is very unpredictable anything can happen.

Well, if we can beat Australia with a weaker team than the one on tour now, we should be able to beat the West Indies. In theory. Just have to avoid the good ol' Zimbabwe Collapse...

The big question of this series is not about how well Zimbabwe play but how well the West Indies will play. The fact is that if Chris Gayle fires at the top of the order (Luckily he is not playing tomorrow)we will loose, but if we can find away to get him early then we have a real chance of causing an upset.

Im not to worried about the West Indies bowling attack but the series will be won and lost in the battle between our pace bowlers and Gayle, it could be murder or sweet success.

Im hoping on the latter :D

i think the best way to gets these batsman out is by realy targeting them, i think jarvis should not be afraid to bend his back a little, in saying that he also should have some control in his line. I am pretty confident we can produce a good resualt here. If the fieldings good and bowlers stick to a good line then we should have a definate win.

GO ZIM :D

west indies is playing with full of allrounder squad, like

barath(dangerous batsman as i see in champion league)

fletcher (explosive batsman,do'nt believe in running like gael)

chanderpaul (innings builder)

darren bavo (explosive batsman)

pollard (superb allrounder)

ramdin (captain and keepar)

smith (allrounder, good in hitting flat sixes)

sammy (allrounder)

benn (big benn, spinner and handy with bat)

rampal(allrounder)

miller(spinner)

We might view T20 as a batsmen game .But whemn the bowlers really get into it they can really destroy any side . I predict a five for by Ray Price .......mark my words :W:

Chigs need to bowl well today.
In my opinion it depends if Taibu and Masakadza fire with the bat we are heavily relient on these 2 without taylor....

I am putting my money on the trio of Covy, Tibbly and Pricey. We are always good in denting reputations in inaugral fixture. Be it the first ODI win over mighty aussies in '83, the first test honours against india in '92, or the tailor-made win in the T20 again against aussies at WC.

With no Gayle, today i am hoping for laurels in this opening fixtures between two sides. Its pretty sad that we are actually playing a T20 after 2008. Phew

I wanted to walk out of this game after the famous Zim top order collapse but i guess the spinners are going make this one an interseting one ,

Are we in for one of the biggest shockers in History . If Zim pull this then we will call them men who can fight back.

Top over from lamb just two of it.

Big decision for Utseya, to keep spin going or bring pacers on.
