I really dont see any logic in any of what Mangongo does. Correct me if i am wrong also, but doesnt dew on the pitch bring about more swing and make it tougher for the batsmen? We sent Bangladesh in to bat int he first two matches on the very same reason, got re-soundly beaten, and guess what we do in the third game...

It also negates the spinners because the ball is harder to grip and therefore get extra revolutions on. I think the logic in batting second is reasonable enough, but as you said it hasn't been an advantage to us in the first two games - why not mix it up and try setting a target instead? Kamungozi can't turn it anyway so he wouldn't really have been disadvantaged.

Priestly Jaymoor batting now! Let the Moormania begin!

This is where good management comes in. You choose to bat second as you hope the dew can negate the spinner, but it never works, so why keep doing it.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

Looking at some of the wickets also you can tell that there is no real coaching going on. The batsmen are making elementary mistakes and these things you would expect would be getting sorted out in the training nets. Clearly not. Mangongo seems to just be working on the idea that, "if i shout at them, they will get the idea".

Hopefully Moor can score some runs. Would justify his selection and all the Moormania.

I gave up after the Bangladesh innings...I'm now back :D I wanted to see how Moor batted, but he didn't last for long.

Didn't see the Masakadza incident so look forward to seeing the highlights later on.

On a positive, Chigumbura looks really solid. Perhaps he should bat higher up in ODI's?

I wonder if it would be worth trying him as an opener to take advantage of the powerplay.

1. Raza

2. Chigumbura

3. Masakadza

4. Taylor

5. Williams

6. Ervine

7. Chakabva

Something like that

no matter what we try, it will be no different.
