"THE newly-appointed Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) board led by new chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani has clipped the wings of managing director (MD) Alistair Campbell after withdrawing a number of portfolios that were under his wing.
Campbell had assumed lot of power and responsibility under the stewardship of Harare lawyer Wilson Manase.
But his responsibilities have been reduced to international cricket alone and there had been murmurs that the former national team captain had quit cricket administration, a suggestion Campbell disputed yesterday.
It has, however, been established that Campbell is not happy about the new developments which have seen franchise cricket administration transferred from his office to that of MD for development Givemore Makoni’s office."

He must stop sulking for nothing because to date no ball has been bowled in Zimbabwe's Domestic cricket season.
He has several tangible reasons for his feelings to be "established" as "not happy", and for him to sulk, such as the scathing Utseya accusations. He must first throw his toys out of the cot on that before we take his feelings and thinking seriously on anything else.
Probably wanted that portfolio to continue his "jobs for the boys" strategy.

Yep. All sorts of manuoverings were taking place just before the IND A series, and am sure some them will no longer come into fruition cos he is gone.

Zanoids do seem to have trouble recognizing when people are doing an honest days work. I guess it is a foreign concept to them.

It's directed at both of you for your mindless ways of thinking ! I don't think they can get rid of AC from ZC as rumour has it the ICC will not financially support ZC any longer if Campbell gets the boot. Why u ask? Because ICC are not blind, they see that certain people have no clue how to do their job but want a fat piece of the pie. Well tried Wilson Manase, unfortunately greed beats honesty in Africa all the time.

Interesting to see on the Zimbawe Cricket Facebook page the comments to this story are mainly from black Zimbabweans and they don't seem happy with the demotion of AC and the promotion of Makoni. They also relay a lot of the feelings and messages the majority of us on the forum have ......
