Waller in the runs again
Waller, Chigs and Raza have become big headache to us. It's not like they completely fail miserably like Vusi. They go out of form for multiple matches, and play 1-2 match winning knocks. However, we should still have atleast 2 of these guys in our national team. The problem with Chigs and Waller is that they are slightly better than Raza and Chibabha, but they don't bowl anymore. It's because of them we often at times haven't been able to fit our good players in best XI: Williams and Craig. PJ, Musakanda and Chari should be given more opportunities. Mumba and Nyauchi have givem us some hope in our fast bowling, and Chatara seems to have improved. Chisoro and Welly should be given more opportunities too.

The below is my thoughts.

In terms of one days cricket, these are the guys who i think have either cemented their spot or should be there.

Im a big fan of batting to number 8.

Waller/Moor and Chigs are X factors anmd you need them in the big games.

1 ??? (hammy? musakanda? If the latter then Moor comes to open and Musakanda to 8)

2 Chibhabha

3 Ervine

4 Williams

5 Waller

6 Raza

7 Chigs

8 Moor

9 Cremer

10 ?

11 ?
Mumba, Chatara,Panyangara or if in the sub continent Chisoro could make up the last two spots

100% agree with Zimbofan88. the most frustrating thing about Elton is that we know he is world class on his day but he has that day once out of every 5..he got ducks against India this year only to go and score a match winning 50 in the first t20. waller is another guy who can be devastating on his day. to think he bowled out glen maxwell when we beat Australia. Masakadza is another guy who performs once every 5 or so games..this makes it very difficult to completely discard them because u never know when they are going to show up.

Elton not bowling anymore has probably been one of the biggest losses to Zim cricket over the last few years. he was honestly miles ahead of somebody like Luke Jongwe at that age if u look at it.we had a genuine all rounder

After a wretched winter it is encouraging to see Waller and Raza get some time in the middle. Vusi is a worry, even as a franchise contributor atm.

Musakanda has been a bright spark. Hopefully he is managed well. He should play both FC matches, for sure.

Glad to see Mumba and Nyauchi getting a run and some wickets, Chatara back and contributing is also good. Hopefully he can keep working his way into things.

I'd like to see Mumba and Nyauchi in a bowl off over the next few games. Stick one of them in with Cremer, Chatara and Tiripano for the first test if they do well in these next two matches.

+1000.

Mumba seems to be edging it at the moment.

I have to disagree on this one,

Since he is ack, i see nothing to suggest hes in our top 5 pacers atm. He's lost it unfortunately.

Chigumbura was a horrible captain, and he hit rock bottom during his tenure. Since his resignation,he has improved as a player and is more consistent nowadays with his bat. I don't think he will ever become a good all-rounder. Chigs shouldn't bat that low, he is better at 5-6. What worries me more is the form of Raza and Hami. They are simply not good enough with quality bowling. That is why it is not a good idea to play all of these guys at once.
