I read on cricinfo that some Muslim suicide bombed himself near Gaddafi stadium during ODI game two.
I'm not arsed posting the link, but the team are safe and the tour will continue with further beefed up security.

The third and final ODI between Zimbabwe and Pakistan in Lahore will go ahead as scheduled after the visiting team had a meeting with PCB and security officials following what federal information minister Pervaiz Rashid said was a suicide attack near Gaddafi Stadium during the second match. Zimbabwe have, however, cancelled their plans to go shopping in the city, even as the security cover around the team has been beefed up.
Two people, including a sub-inspector, were killed and several people injured in the incident. The explosion was initially explained as an electricity transformer blast by police, in a bid to avoid panic. Initially, the players were also told on the way from the stadium to the hotel after the match that it was a low-intensity transformer blast.
What an absolute farce. The players were also lied to. That alone should be grounds to get out of the country straight away as they are trying to keep the team in the country under false pretences, basically.
Clearly Pakistan is not a place where international cricket should be played. Even the PCB must feel sheepish after the tour if they try claiming that the tour was a success because there was "only one" suicide bombing in the vicinity of the ground. The western world won't go near Pakistan for a long time, this tour won't change anything.

Very much agree. It seems like the overwhelming majority of the people have been hospitable and really trying to make the Zim squad comfortable. It is equivalent to saying that all white Zimbaweans are bigots, which they are not.

Whilst there are people that would commit certain acts under the banner of various religions, these people are not a reflection of the religion. These are people who commit these acts under false pretence and use religion as an easy excuse.
Pakistan is a failed Islamic state and most people who act under their various religions are doing so from brainwashing and other motives with no sound backing in religion or theoretical thought.
We knew an incident like this was possible, and it's unfortunate. The good thing is that no one from the squad got hurt and that is our biggest fears.

ShareThis tour was going so well. Unfortunately Pakistan ain't safe we should had never had toured. It's a shame cos I really wanted this tour to go well for the sake of Pakistan. But there are destructive influences in the country and until they are rid of Pakistan won't be safe for a long while.

Fair play to the guys for sticking around after such a terrible thing to have happened although the players hands are probably tied...this is a massive setback for the PCB.
