Opening post

Zimbabwe cricket standard and its improvement, status, development depends only upon the national players .............have only few world class players in cricket right now

IPL VERDICT : Demands Lot of skills from a player like batting, bowling ,fielding and especially one man army can win the game on single handed foreign players

1) Justice Chamu Chibhabha: who open the bat , will be aggressive, can field better, Can bowl a few good overs his game style suits Indian pitches more favorably Delhi and Mohali pitches , which is similar to Pakistan pitches ....and does well against Indian players in recent tour.

2)Sean Williams:Real the class allrounder in zimbabwe side and plays depending upon the conditions very good player not a too good player in Asian pitches but his finishing capabilities, his gaming style ,fielding and his bowling will add to his profile he will be in radar for Delhi,SRH and Kings XI Punjab who look to improve their squads

3) SR Butt: Electrifying fielding, Six Hitting ability, can bowl cool and fast overs like Suresh Raina, more than a pakistani will be huge boost to IPL Teams.

BBL VERDICT: Have to gel with a team, aggressive and understand the situation of the game well ,should have great reflexes, should have to put team in front than his own performance,Mentally tough

Chamu chibhabha and Sikandar Raza Butt does not suit to these standards and does not go impressively in the world cup tooo..have to go a long way

SEAN WILLIAMS: Will be a good BBL player than IPL player has good go at World cup in these Australian pitches will be good player wen picked by HOBART Hurricanes,Brisbane Heat,Sydney Thunder were they are looking for potential all round international talent.

Sean Williams- on his one and only trip to Australia- took to the pitches like a duck to water.

He could definitely blend in as an also-ran for a BBL team, at least a solid depth player. Very clever against the spin.

His lack of power hitting may cost him though.

BT should be given a go.

Chibhabhas too slow for ODI's let alone t20.

Zimbabwe do not produce good t20 players at the moment.

I feel Raza and even Craig could potentially do it but they aint there yet.
Is Solomon Mire still on Melbourne Renegade's list for this summer?

No, and he won't anytime soon.

He wasn't there last season either.

The year before he was, it was some bullshit tokenism thing for multicultural awareness

Guys like Williams and BRMT are good enough for BBL but the issue is the BBL teams can only field two foreign players so the sides are filled with Aussie players who aren't as good but get a run to fill the teams .....

I think the quota should be lifted to 3 foreign players but doubt it will ......

BRMT could still get a run due to his World Cup heroics and his ability to keep wickets, sides like the Sixers could use an upgrade in the wicket keeper batsman department ......

Hilton Cartwright is another Zimbo in the BBL but as an Aussie player not a foreign .......

We are tired of your racism.

Craigs a slow bastman but when he does go into hitting mode he is the cleanest hitter in the country.

We just dont see it much.

And Conant, its not racism re: Mire its fact.

"Each BBL team has a community rookie, with contracts going to players from rural communities, indigenous backgrounds, low socio-economic areas and non-English speaking backgrounds."

Conant whats your definition of community rookie?

Ervine could certainly make the cut, his problem when playing for Zimbabwe is that the side is usually 50/4 after 12 overs by the time he gets to the crease.

An update on Mire

Dragons coach David Reid said the club expected Mire would attract interest from BBL sides this summer.

“We expect him to attract a bit of interest from some Big Bash clubs, because he’s now classed as a local Australian player,” Reid said.

“He’s been cleared by Cricket Australia, he’s got his Australian residency. He is now eligible to represent (teams) as a local player in the Big Bash system.”
