The Mongongo fans will be singing his praises and his tough no tolerance stance may have been the underlining factor but only time will tell. ......

Its not like he has many of them, only a few people willing to defend the poor guy. But yeah, time will tell.

Surprising thread started buy Eugene - last person I expected - about Mangongo somewhere else; but glad to see there are people still willing to look beyond their distaste for individual personalities.

Indeed, time will tell.

That young guy's name is Neil. He's still Zim's no 1 supporter and never misses a game. He's around 40 now. He has a minor disability and is a great guy. I think we need Vusi. Maybe bring in the leggie but don't know who you drop?

Two days on, Zimbabwe is still trending in the top 10 Twitter keywords in Bangalore and most other Indian cities!

He looks much different to when i remember him. I always remember him as wearing glasses and having Black hair. But the name sounds very familiar. Could just be that age has caught up to him a bit.

Everyone loved him though. What a champion.

Most topics have been discussed ad nauseum. That's the beauty of being a cricket supporter, you can discuss the same issues and never get bored, it's like having Alzheimer's

Wow. Can't believe I missed this. Just amazing.

Not sure what this means and totally overwhelmed.

Glad to see us beat Australia after all these years. As a boy I can remember my dad complaining about the Aussies getting beaten by Zim in '83. It has been so long. Hopefully we can break the drought against SA as well.

I've got some news which I think might make a few people jealous...

I was at this game :6:

And when I say "game", I mean this historic occasion. Harare was seriously bouncing afterwards, in the streets outside the ground after the game people were so happy, celebrating and just generally excited. I was on the end of quite a few high fives by guys who must have just assumed I was a white Zimbabwean :D

I just came back from a holiday to Zimbabwe, I've wanted to do it for a long time and now seemed like a good time to go. And it was great :)

Started in Harare and saw a few games (the hat trick game and the win against Australia) and worked my way west through the rest of the country.

HSC was obviously an awesome place to be on those two days.

If anyone has any questions about those games or HSC (and to a lesser extent the other major grounds in Harare in Bulawayo, though HSC is where I spent the most amount of time), fire away :)

And if there's anyone who's interested to know about the country from a travellers perspective (maybe you've never been there and want to go one day / know how it works; food, taxis, safety, demographics, remnants of the past, etc) please feel free to ask. I had an overwhelmingly positive experience, if anyone has had doubts about travelling there I may be able to offer some reassurance and share my own experiences.
