ZCF Hall of Famer

Opening post

It was mentioned on commentary they'd be coming in the next three weeks. Has anyone heard anything? Any fixtures out?

Still three weeks away, ZC don't usually announce anything until the day before.

Rest of the cricketing world can confirm tour schedules a year in advance. We're lucky to get a week.

Aug 23 - first T20, Harare

Aug 24 - second T20, Harare

Aug 27 - first ODI, Harare

Aug 29 - second ODI, Harare

Aug 31 - third ODI, Harare

Sep 3-7 - first Test, Harare

Sep 10-14 - second Test, Bulawayo

Would have preferred the Test matches first to be honest. The team (and Taylor) won't be feeling too great about limited overs matches given what's transpired over the last couple of weeks.

We really need to pull a rabbit out of the hat in this series. The T20s and ODIs aren't of great concern in the scheme of things, but a Test win (or maybe even a respectable draw) would go a long way in lending credibility to the team. The Test win against Bangladesh in 2011 seems like so long ago. The 2013 win is a bit bittersweet, because I think we un-did all of the good work by losing the next game.

Could be a tough tour. I can see Ajmal, Afridi, Babar, and Hafeez running through us with the ball.

Hopefully we get to see Jarvis and Vitori in tandem again with a red ball.

I have more faith in the Zimbabwe bowlers than batsmen right now.

The Pakistani batsman will be vulnerable in Harare if there is movement .......

But if it's a flat deck in Bulawayo I can see Azhar Ali batting for 500 balls .........
