he seems to be swayed very easily: opts out, then in, goes abroad, comes back, drops out again, climbs back on board. If he really wanted out that bad one would assume he'd be gone ... he can't be "brilliant" and "unable to find a club" - can he? it's not like he couldn't get a job somewhere else (it might even be cricket) - he has education and/or sporting talent.

Seans in that twilight zone of being a useful player but not in demand elsewhere for the most part.

A central contract would help. And if he gets paid and full on time... and if hes around the national setup. I Have no doubt he would stay in that perfect cocktail of positive circumstances. But not sure thats the real world at the moment.

But yeah, end of the day its all walking on eggshells with him.
