Opening post
For two odd years we have been carrying a walking wicket in Elton Chigumbura and with tough test opposition coming up I feel hanging on to Elton is only going to harm the team. I was thinking instead of playing 6 specialist batters(Including the keeper), why not play 7 with Elton making way. The name that came to me was Gavin Ewing. He had a good season with the bat last season and he'll definitely add some experience to the test side batting at 6. The team will then look like, 1. Vusi 2. Tino 3. Hami 4. BT 5. Craig 6. EWING 7. Taibu..... Elton's bowling isn't really threatening so a combination of Ewing and BT's off spin along with Hami's medium pace should be enough to replace Elton's bowling. All can only happen if Ewing is available, so is he available for selection? If not why? look like, 1. Vusi 2. Tino 3. Hami 4. BT 5. Craig 6. EWING 7. Taibu.....
