Opening post

Due to the majority of foreign players pulling out of PSL. the organisers have nominated backup players for the franchisee to choose in place of their first choices.

4 zimbabweans namely cremer, craig ervine, elton chigumbara and sean ervine (if u still call him zimbabwean) have been nominated. Now its upto the franichees if they are willing to choose any of these in place of their other players. here is the link

Zimbabwe Should try to bring back Sean Ervine. Taibu & Co. should offer him to think again. He is 34 and still could add values to the team. One of the class allrounder of that golden era.Though he has rejected to play for Zim previously, now he might think of returning.

Why would he risk his career in England by making himself an overseas player?

Elton really has been on a go slow of late. you can still see the India series on his last 10 games list.that was in June 2016. barely played over the last 8 or so months but still get cheques across the world. must be nice. he definitely didn't go to Pakistan for free whether he played or not.

I'm sure Ervine has some kind of permanent stay in the UK or an Irish passport if I remember correctly. if he really wanted to play for us he could. unfortunately we are just not an attractive option.

No he couldn't. He'd still have to give up his job at Hampshire. No way them, or any other county, would take him on as an overseas player.
