He has been a fixture in the Essex side for years though and i would says plays most of the FC stuff but wouldn't disagree with saying that he is best known as a OD player (Plays for Saffron Walden CC who i used to play for a few years ago :))

Before today he had only 8 tons in a decade plus career. At least 1 of which was for the Mountaineers. He's not a poor player, by any stretch, but as you say best known as an OD player.

Bruce is not related to Vusi. Meth is likely going back to Canada.

A dull performance by Tuskers and 5-7 dropped catches means they deserve a whooping! Luckily rain is forecast :D

A big drop down to earth for the Tuskers then from 2010/11 and 12. They were the side to beat to say the least! No Duffin, Meth, Querl, Streak, Coventry, Ewing or Mpofu. Big big big player drain at that particular Franchise hey!

With so many players out of the game and the national team already in camp it's not surprising to see the standard drop alarmingly. If ZC was healthy all around, half the players on the field today in both matches would play for their franchises' B team.

I hope Pettini will guide Sauramba to his maiden ton tomorrow. The young fella averaged over forty in FC cricket in 2013 and should be an automatic starter for the Mountaineers in any format! And he must take the gloves instead of Mutizwa!

Don't forget the Irvines.

I think we'll do just fine considering. Our batting depth is great and the guys seem to learn more now than with the experienced players from last years.

Tuskers batting looks very thin as well this could be a big defeat ......

Although the Mountaineers are missing a few bowlers ......

Looking for Chari and Mujuru to make some runs as Chari has big wraps and Mujuru has a decent record .....

Interested to see how Bruce Sibanda goes .....

Dylon Higgins and Glenn Querl come to mind when it comes to dream debut for bowlers. What was the first match of LTGM like? I remember something impressive very early there too.

By the way, anyone know where is LTGM is right now? Still injured?

I think you remember his second coming, when he took 9 wickets in the match on his debut for the Eagles. On his FC debut a few years earlier he went wicketless: http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Score ... 14559.html

Oh yes, I forgot about that untimely early debut robbing him of a more illustrious one years later :)
