With some batting failures expect to see guys like Vusi SIbanda back incontention.
It was said Mutombodzi replaced Cremer, while Malcolm replaced Hami. Mutombodzi rightly bowled, but Malcolm batted at number 8. The impression therefore is Malcolm replaced Cremer, yet he did not bowl. I don't think Malcolm can on merit be part of the first XI or the A side in either format. If he is being picked those going for his name need to tell us what his role is - where he's bat and if he'll bowl and why. Nice to see that a lot of the guys have him far from the radar. :D
Brian Vitori has too much talent to be discarded. Time to rest Panyangara and give Vitori a run too.
If Hami comes back he cannot be forced to bat in the top 3. Let him bat 4/5. same with Vusi.
Williams&Raza need to move up the order.

Thought the commentators called it well then said they were saving Waller for the last 10 to capitalise on his '360 degrees scoring capability'. Just look at they way Glen Maxwell floats around the batting order for Australia (anywhere from 4-8), depending on the match situation. Waller is no maxwell but the principle still applies.
Why wouldn't you play arguably our best players of spin, Williams & Raza, in the middle overs when the spinners are on? The Zimbabwean team must make the most of what few strengths we have if we are to succeed, why would you put players who are already struggling in a more awkward position and expose our weaknesses?

Sibanda averaged 13 in the last Pro50 tournament. The same as PJ Moor.

Vusi Sibanda's poor international form extended to the Pro50, but he did great in the Logan Cup. Moor has NEVER been in form in his life! He is a 20.00 average player in every format in the domestic game, and that was the case for him in Pro50&Logan Cup cricket. At 25 years of age, and 6 years of professional cricket at domestic level it's safe to say the boat has well and trully sailed in his case.
Nothing i going to change that Moor played 8 games, scored, 101 runs, and averaged 12.62runs, but still played for Zimbabwe in an away tour. That's a stain on anyone who was involved in his selection, even if it was based on one meaningless unclassed practice match.

Moor was selected for the Bangladesh tour after he scored a brilliant hundred @Triangle in front of Mangongo & co.

Just played the ICC rankings predictor...currently very close:
9) Pakistan 88
10) Ireland 49
11) Zimbabwe 47
12) Afghanistan 41
If ZIM gets a 3-0 whitewash:
10) Zimbabwe 50

12) Ireland 39
Ireland would lose 10 points because they have only played 15 matches, but ZIM would gain just 3 because they have played a whopping 42.
If ZIM also wins 5-0 vs Afghanistan, it would be:
10) Zimbabwe 54
11) Ireland 39
12) Afghanistan 31
That opens up a very big lead for Zim being 15 points ahead of Ireland.
