Why is Craig Ervine not in the side. I am not sure why we are p**sing around with Cephas Zhuwao when we have a real cricketer sitting on the sidelines. Zimbabwe doesn't have the luxury to send out stragglers in T20 like some other countries can. We need to play our best players in every format. I have always believed that the best players are the best players in all formats - bar a few, and I mean few exceptions.
My All-time Zimbabwe XI
Neil Johnson, Brendan Taylor, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), David Houghton, Sean Williams, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Paul Strang, Eddo Brandes, Blessing Muzarabani
As a hindsight, Prosper as the 5th bowler could have been a better choice than Zhuwao in the XI. Some tight bowling and better batting display could have been assured, if we had gone for the former captain.
Hamilton's bowling is underrated, and he was unlucky not to get amongst wickets thanks to the inept fielding display. This phase could be the worst we have ever been on the field.
Mpofu might not be a T20 bowler at all, looking at his performances. Instead of making him lose confidence this way, we can keep him exclusively for Tests and ODIs (there too, not as death bowler). Meth could be a serious choice for an extended run in the shortest form of the game, with his batting weighing in as big plus, once he recovers completely.
Chigs the bowler has been very impressive this season, barring very few mistakes, but Chigs the power hitter has pretty much disappeared :(.
And Welcome back, Coventry :)
Lastly, why wasn't there any Zim representative in the post match presentation? BRMT didn't turn up, and no one else as well... :?
Even though he was out first ball, and he looked like a club cricketer at best, I still feel sorry for Zuwayo. It's not his fault that he was selected, he would have seen it as a chance to make a name for himself, and it's never nice getting ous first ball :( He should stick to Franchise and Club cricket though
