saved by the rain I dont see them coming back on and that might actually better because Bosman was slapping the bowlers all around. Tomorrows match is live on Super sport, it would be nice to find somewhere to watch it live. If anyone has a link to watch it online please post it.
Yesterdays match was a total mishap for zims.........but i wont blame them much........Loots Bosman is a master blaster who can slam any bowler on his day........I hav seen him whooping even world class bowlers.........Yesterday,unfortunately it was his day..........Any way,we should keep it apart, and should win todays game.4 games we need to win..Then only we hav any hopes of semis

Unfortunately I don't think this game is being televised (online), unless someone in South Africa Sopcast's it at the last minute.
I'm really not quite sure what to say about yesterday, it was frankly a fiasco.
To be fair, when a batsman has a knock like Bosman did, it is difficult to keep the score down, but what was Utsya thinking :?:
He, Price, Dabengwa and Chibhabha were being hit at will and what does he do, he leaves Mupariwa, by far the best 20/20 bowler in the 2 games, out of the attack at the end of the innings. I can't understand what happened in the 17th over, was Chibhabha injured during the over ?, but why did he bowl it in the first place ?, did Utseya forget that the game had been reduced by 3 overs ?.
He is either being badly advised by the senior players or he is simply not up to the job. I don't like to criticise players, who are obviously far more talented than I could ever be, but he has proved in many limited overs matches recently that he does not possess a tactical mind when it comes to handling his bowlers. Bowlers crop up here and there bowling a couple of overs instead of the men for the job bowling their full spells, and what about Masakadza ?, he bowled during the MTN and in Pakistan and took wickets in the Metropolitan Bank series but hasn't been given any bowling in these 2 games.
I know Utseya is still young but he has had a long time as captain now and, in my opinion, appears to have learned very little. I realy think it's time for a change.
The batting yesterday is best not discussed, 85-9 from 17 overs in a 20/20 game is dreadful, even with wickets falling 18 from the last 7 overs is simply beyond belief.
Hopefully they can pull themselves together mentally or today will bring another very bad defeat.

Yeah, close one. Shame most of the batting order didn't really contribute, though - if Taylor had had an off day we would've been on the receiving end of another thumping. One of these days the boys will discover the meaning of "consistency"...
Same old story really, one of these days 3 or 4 batsmen will hit form in the same game.
Anyone know if there is actually a batting coach employed by ZC ?, if not, and they can find someone willing to take up the post, then I reckon that could be a very wise investment.
well i thought the boys were going to win at one stage but thn price got slapped for 16 in the 2nd to last over.. but anyway a better effort.
Dabengwa has really ben surprising in this tournment with the ball hes doing brilliantly he must be doing alot of work with the coach on his bowling we might see him bowl alot more in international cricket if he continues this form
Now, I am waiting for the end of the series where brmtaylor.com admin comes up with a poll for the best performers. We all know who is leading the race now... 😂 😂 😂
Taibu has withdrawn himself from the Pro20 squad, and is off to India for IPL. Tino Mawoyo replaces him. Graeme Cremer, considered a longer version specialist by many, has made it to the Pro20 squad as well, at the expense of Nyamuzinga.

Hopefully they make either Chakabva or (ideally) Taylor wicket keeper. I seem to remember Mawoyo being pretty woeful, although I can't say for certain.

An interesting one, I read in the same article that Nyamuzinga was a late replacement for Chakabva in the original Pro20 squad, before he himself got replaced by Cremer. So, Chakabva is not at all part of Pro20 squad from the beginning! Does Anyone know the reason for that late replacement?
