I've always liked his bowling. Don't know why he almost never gets picked (even in the A side)........

Those are the insights we don't get when we go by Cricinfo scorecards. I've always felt that he hasn't been given his due, Chinouya. He probably went off the boil at the wrong time a season ago and others appeared to have leapfrogged him. Thought he was our own Curtly Ambose kind of bowler. Good to hear that he is at his mean best!

Most people here also supporting Tiripano (and deservedly too, at least going by his numbers in the last couple of months) and seem to be looking past Vusi as well. This only means that ZC will have Vusi and will not have Tiripano, for their own reasons in the final touring squad.

This test series will not be about bowling, it will come down to which side can bat the other out of the game. We need to load up the batting order as much as possible.

11. Nyauchi

12th - Nyumbu, Chinouya

Openers seem to be a real issue here... Chibhabha is probably the only guy who appears like he actually wants the job. Masakadza, Sibanda and Raza have all done it, but prefer to bat in the middle order in the Logan Cup, and as a result I would be tempted not to force them up unwillingly. However, Chamu himself is hardly a certainty for the test side, and who does that leave in terms of opening batsmen? Mawoyo, Kasuza, Chari, Mpofu, Gupo, Chapungu... Hardly an inspiring list...

This has always been an issue for Zimbabwe finding test openers, only Ken Arnott and maybe Tino have done the job with much success. Gripper and Dekker seemed keen on opening but both only had moderate success ......

For me Hami needs to open we have so many middle order options so 1 if not 2 of these guys will need to open, at least in BD the new ball isn't as much of a threat like in other places like England, NZ and Aus .....

I'd even be happy for Raza and Hami to open if we needed to fit the likes of Ervine, Williams, Vusi and Waller in the middle ......

I already solved the issue with my lineup, PJ Moor to open.

I wouldn't be surprised to see PJ open Zimbabwe has a history of throwing guys in the deep end opening in tests ......

I like that squad Totoro except maybe a backup seamer instead of Mutumbami.....

No good in-form offie available. We must have invested in developing Mufudza better over the last year. So, Nyumbu goes by default. But Chisoro edging Wellington to the XI for now. Regis at 5 ahead of Williams at 6 for me. I am not convinced Williams has the stamina or the mindset to build a big test innings yet, so Ervine and Regis must go ahead of him in the batting order. Don't see a point in having Chigumbura the batsman for tests there, so I would go ahead trusting Jongwe. Chinouya makes it to the 16 on the back of gargamel's observations. We can hold a bat till Tiripano at 10.

Yeah you are right. Another seamer is needed. Michael Chinouya would be very handy.

I think Mutumbami should be taken on the tour though, because I don't know If Moor can be trusted as a back-up test keeper. :)

I somehow totally forgot to include Victor Nyauchi. The best bowler in the A side i hope he is not injured

Cuthbert Musoko seems to not be a effective as he used to be.

Mumba really isn't that great in opinion.

I really think they need to blood Burl in this series and start off his career as he is really worth it.

Also think Garwe is a very good bowler.

Hopefully Regis wakes up.

Oh my...sorry. Dunno where my head was...Cremer replaces Nyumbu and moves one or two up the order
