This is great news...

ZC might be ridiculed Everytime but they had made an excellent job getting the Zim A squad some games...

Is this the work of the new Pakistani/foreign ICC appointed head of ZC?

Playing Namibia and Canada might not seem great but this is the prep year for the World Cup Qualifiers where Zim will face the most important competition from teams like these.

West Indies are sure to stay at 9th, but there is still 1 slot left to play for. And seeing as Afghanistan has the unique ability to beat West Indies but also lose to Nepal, perhaps both slots are wide open. All to play for if you are Zimbabwe.

As per the latest ICC ODI Ranking released by ICC on 1st May 2017, there is a still fight exist between three teams as their ratings are much close to each other for 7th & 8th spot for direct qualification of 2019 World Cup i,e Bangladesh, Pakistan & West Indies before the cut off date 30th September, 2017

Bangladesh are left with 7 odis before the cut off date, 4 in Ireland Tri Series & 3 in Champions Trophy.

Pakistan are just left with 3 champions trophy odis before the cut off date.

West Indies will be the happiest out of the three as they are having 11 odis before cut off date. 5 against Afghans, 5 against England tour in August and 1 against the Irish on 13th September, 2017. Playing 6 odis against weak opposition might turn tables for West Indies.

After Champions Trophy, Pakistan & Bangladesh have no fxtures in odis till September as Pakistan cancelled their tour to Bangladesh in August. News is, Pakistan have ideas to play odis against Zimbabwe in Pakistan, with the meeting that took place recently, Zimbabwe tour to Pakistan might be on, in August.

Bangladesh will look to find some opposition in Aug & September

It will be great to see, thrilling contest between these three sides and what opportunities they get before the cut off date 30th September, 2017.

As per Zimbabwe Concerned, ZC is hoping ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2018 to be shifted to UK from Bangladesh as result ZC are interested in making Zim players play in English County Club Stinct or through Rising Academy to become familiar with the english condition.

^ Dont forget Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka are only 2 points ahead of Bangladesh, who are 3 points ahead of Pakistan.

If Bangladesh play to their abilities, they could be ahead of Sri Lanka before the Champions Trophy starts.

Weat Indies have no chance of passing Pakistan before the deadline. Windies will only gain a few points even with a 5-0 win vs Afghanistan. Pakistan would have to lose a couple vs Zim for Windies to get close to 8th.

Bangladesh could fall to 8th, or rise to 6th.

Sri Lanka will play Zimbabwe in June

Any chance of actually spreading games around the country (Byo, Kwekwe or Mutare)? Or atleast using a different ground to HSC?

Never ever dear to take West Indies Lightly, they might have problems with players, now look even under 19 youths made Pakistan Rattle. If things go well, few seniors comes in with this 11 matches remaining, West Indies may blew in to the top 8 and qualify directly for 2019 World Cup

I think it's important to keep Burl and Musakanda in the side at this point, we need a progression plan .....

Its too early to say that Windies will feature in the qualifiers as still they have series against Afghans, England & Ireland before the cut off date 30th September, 2017

Afghanistan and Ireland are pretty irrelevant...WI won't get any points even if they win 5-0. They'd have to win the series against England in England and with the form the Poms are in, that isn't likely. But even if the WI somehow make it, that leaves Pakistan/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka as the other team in the qualifiers.

An inform Masakadza is pure gold to the team, hope he carries it through to the tours. Waller has been surprisingly consistent of late. Chigumbura hasn't gotten any game time. Should be the last straw for him.

Pretty obvious the Canadians don't like spin, which is odd since they're pretty much all Asian .....

Would be shocked if tiripano went to Scotland after that display. He's been on a downward spiral. Shame! Maybe keep him for the longer format as first change bowler

Solomon Mire has been very ordinary as well. Better we try out Masakadza and Chibhabha at the top.

Solomon had the best batting average in the recently concluded afghan series. Deserves another shot
