Opening post

Zimbabwean batsman continue to collapse in a familiar fashion it does matter where williams bats ,putting him on 9 will strengthen our tail,at least he will have the chance to play on an detiriorated pitch
Gazi is a classic off-spinner with no 'doosra' or other tricks. It should be relatively easier to read him, given that many of the batsmen are right-handed. What I'm more concerned about is their batting. Nasir Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahim seem to be in prime form. Razor and Rainsford should definitely play, though I doubt that would happen as that could lead to a more 'white' team than ZC cares for.

While I'm not certain, I do believe Gazi does in fact have a doosra that goes on straight like an arm ball. He isn't a great turner of the ball, but seems to be fairly accurate and never afraid to flight the ball. He's a spinner who relies on bounce, which the HSC track might give him. You can bet that he was probably watching Shillingford and Samuels' most recent exploits and taking some notes.

What is the worst damage Mangongo can do in this series?

Some would say, digging up the pitch ...

... or dropping Ervine, Waller, Williams for Matsi, Chamu, and Maruma in the Test side ... effectively dropping every white player but Taylor and Jarvis ... and prompting another walk-out.

My question: Who will be Zim's top scorer in the Tests?

I think Vusi is due.

What will the scoreline be?

Mangongo seems set on dropping players who are underperforming, i wonder who these will be?

he also has recommended several new players to the board, i reckon these may be Shingai, Raza and LTGM

Shingi Masakadza is a must, specially in the shorter forms. Raza is worth giving a go. I think there's bowlers ahead of Manatsa at the moment.

I just hope they don't make too many changes. Putting too many new players in quickly can only end badly. Which would be embarrassing, considering we're playing Bangladesh. :?

Trialling players should happen in "Zimbabwe A" matches; which we now have money for supposedly. ;)
