Maybe I meant the titanic Dolphins
Great win, Matsikenyeri seems to be finding some good form recently 😂

I've just seen on the ZC site that Sean Williams was missing today after turning his ankle.
It is possible that he damaged ligaments in his ankle and has had x-rays.
This is what we DO NOT want  , hopefully it will only be a strain and not something that will keep him out for very long.

Another win, excellent!
100% record in this tournament at Harare Sports Club by the way... Seeing as Zim will play about 25% of any international cricket they play at this venue, at least this is encouraging... Anyone got a scorecard yet??

ShareIts surprising zim won this match they fielded a team that was missing a few key players like gary sean and vusi.... its a sign that some of the youngsters like Mazurbani and chakabva are doing a decent job for their side which is promising :) lets hope the chevrons can win 1 or 2 more games then it will be a decent effort by them.

The scorecard has finally turned up on cricinfo this morning.
Some good all round bowling figures with nobody getting hit around and Utseya, Price and Muzarabani all under 4 per over. Very strange in a limited overs match that Zim only conceded 2 extras in the entire innings, both wides from Mupariwa.
With Williams out and both Taibu and Masakadza failing, it's good to see that Taylor and Matsikenyeri stood up to be counted, it was also very generous of the Dolphins bowlers to throw in 14 wides.
Hopefully, with a few days break, Williams may be fit again for the next matches. The players are going to be well travelled by next week with the next 3 games in Harare on sunday against Lions, Warriors in East London on tuesday and Cobras in Paarl wednesday.

By the way Utseyalitharan, I love your confidence but with only 8 points, and just 4 games left, I don't think Zim are likely to make it through to the semi finals, if they do then we are in for some great excitement in the next couple of weeks 8-)

Zim papers this morning are all talking about the semis still being a mathematical possibility. A bit like England fans towards the end of Euro 2008 qualifying.. :)
It's still a long shot, but taking the top four from a 7-team league does mean that you can't rule anyone out until late in the day. The only team Chevrons can't catch, given results going their way, are Titans...

If he is, shoot me bru :!: I think we should raise hopes maybe of doing well in the Pro20 Series or the current SAA Comp.

It would appear, from supersports, that Lions managed 225-6 in their innings. Hamilton Masakadza the best of the bowlers with 2-10 from 3 overs

Shareheck man the bowling must of been shocking hammy leading wicket taker with his pie chuckers 😂

With Warriors winning today this a big game for Zim. A victory against Lions would mean that both sides would be equal on 12 points, although I think that Lions would stay ahead, just, on net run rate. A defeat would leave Zim a long way adrift at the bottom.
If Hamilton Masakadza is the best of the bowlers today, does that mean Ray Price and Tawanda Mupariwa will bat effortlessly to see Zim home to a win

Masakadza isn't terrible. From what I saw in the Pakistan series he was comparable to Gary Brent in terms of pace, if not a bit faster, but didn't possess the same accuracy.
Regardless, he was probably brought in around the 40th over to tempt the batsmen into attacking, hence the wickets. I hope that was the case anyway :?
225 means game on. I think that is about Zimbabwe's maximum score for 45 overs, so it should be a very close contest. Fingers crossed anyway.

According to supersports he was brought on for the 35th over and, they say, was bowling leg spin. I see that cricinfo still show him as a leggie as well.
