While we are talking about people under preforming you may as well throw in the selection panel and coaching staff. We all love Streak and the boys but there really isn't too much coaching experience there is there.

I can't believe dabengwa has even been mentioned as a potential candidate to make a international return.

the guy fails at cricket! The further away he is from the team the better, he's a waste of space and i don't want to see him anywhere near the team.

I like the thread a lot DOG, and i certainly like how you've mentioned Waller.

He's a very exciting talent, and like you say, he's a guy that tends to get ignored, both on the forum and by the selectors.

I still think Vusi Sibanda has a huge role to play on our return to test cricket, and i don't care what any of you lot say, he's got the best technique in the country, by far.

Might not have the talent ofa taylor, or a Coventry...but he's a class avct whe it comes to test cricket

Tinashe was highly overhyped, i agree with Sibanda as well. He may be Bradman in domestic but is Matsi reinvented as far as Internationals are concerned. If we give even half of the chances to Chibhabha then he will blossom more. Shingi is expensive but much better than Ian Nicholson. Tendai needs time ofcourse.

Mpofu, Ewing, Malcolm Waller definitely needs to be given more freehand. One extra addition from my side would be Nathan Waller.

i agree with lostart.have you noticed all the people that alister {stanford} cambell surrounds himself with.most of them he can twist around his fingers known to most in his circles as the royal family.

I think the comments made by Butcher over the last couple of days indicate that there are going to have a look at a couple of new players over the next couple of months, i imagine that they will be given a runout in the "A" team tri series first

I think a few fresh faces may help lift to spirit of the team that has been together a long time, i.e how many days have Utseya, Taylor, Mpofu, Price, Taibu and Cremer spent together since 2004, answer a lot.

The likes of Craig Ervine and Greg Lamb coming into the team and performing has freshed up the side and i think it needs doing again.

These are my four for a pick

Gavin Ewing

I think Ewing would be a decent shot for the top of the order for both test and ODI, the only downside is that he is not bowling much these days. He is a fantastic fielder and a really good team player who is always popular in the dressing room.

Keegen Meth

Has to be given a go in Zimbabwe conditions as can we really judge him after plating on the slow low tracks of Bangladesh, he may turn into a horses for courses selection in the future but we cant discard him after 3 games

Tino Mayawo

Needs to be given a chance to see what he can do, scored plenty of runs against New Zealand "A" which indicates some ability, need to see if he can do it on the international scene

Sakinda Raza

Has the potential to compliment Taylor well at the top of the order, has all the shots and will be interesting to see how he performs in the "A" series

As for Shingi, the guy is a weapon at club level and he might come good but gee he has a long way to go at international level, he needs every ounce of Heath streaks knowledge.

Eugene- I like lamb, keeps it tight, bowls well, looks solid but even I admit he hasn't done enough to keep his place ATM, I think he might be misused. When he returns he will have to return as a number 4i think. Ewing will take over his 8/10 overs role and provide extra batting starch, Thats why I'm excited about Gavin. He could potentially fix 2 problems. Top order batting and bowling

No one is expecting miracles from Chatara, people are saying he deserves a go.

Ewing has been out of the scene for a long time.
