Today's match "abandoned without a ball bowled". No reason given.

ShareI'm not in Kwekwe atm, but it was pouring in Harare yesterday. The match was probably called because of the rain
It's highly likely a lot of the matches in the upcoming Pro20 competition will be called off.

ShareThe weather forecast seems to be in favour of rain on Cricinfo.
Definitely on Sunday.
It will be a real shame.
I have got everything else clear no work no worries and the matches are live on Ten Cricket!
Will be very very disappointed  :W: :W:

Now normally, I would automatically assume that "abandoned without a ball bowled" = "rained off". But with the way ZC are going, you can't rule out "couldn't afford minibus to get players to ground", or some other such issues... :D
...and today's match has been called off as well, for those keeping track.

It was Cricinfo that I got the 'abandoned' info from earlier. Go figure.
Tuskers win by 7 wickets.

Fittingly they've messed up the Tom Smith's of this world, giving us the Sussex version instead of the Lancashire one. ;)
Looking at that scorecard, I think we have two overseas players per team too many in this competition. 3 of the Tusker's top 4 are not qualified to play for Zim (Gayle has probably not yet arrived), and Coventry didn't even get a bat. Nothing against adding players of Gayle's or Nannes' caliber to the competition, as you need big names to market the whole thing (apart from the quality they bring), but who's gonna tune in for the sake of Tom Smith?

ShareI hope these scores of 120-130 are not going to be a part of the main competition. I hope Kenya take these scores back with them to Nairobi.
I'm loving Querl's figures. Can't wait to see him live!

Tuskers look strong on the back of this game. The others were just beating Kenya, but they've come home at a canter.
